We have stayed in several little places throughout the keys, and this has been one of my least favorite. We stayed in room 101 and it needs some love. The bathroom walls are dirty and banged up. Lots of dirt buildup in corners. Just doesn't feel clean. Our bathroom sink cabinet was coming apart. I'm pretty sure there was poop rubbed on the wall above the toilet. There were little ants and tiny bugs everywhere. This place sits close to the road so the road noise is very loud but thank goodness we bring a box fan with us to drown it out. The bed is super firm. Pillows stiff but decent. The shower was the worst for me. Water barely comes out of the shower head and water doesn't get very hot. I love a hot shower at the end of the day! They do have a very nice pool area and I enjoyed that. This place has the potential to be a really cute and cozy place. Needs some pretty landscaping and rooms need some love. Not the best and not the worst place we have stayed. Good for quick stop and a place to lay your head.

We stayed in one of the Aqua Lodges, a floating houseboat tied to the dock. Two bedrooms, full bath and kitchen, with a patio on the back. It was lovely! Quiet, family-friendly, dog-friendly, and laid-back. Nice area at the point to sunbathe, and look out at the Gulf side of the Keys. Free kayaks and bikes that were in good shape. Patios back to a man-made canal full of tropical fish and shore birds. Our neighbors saw manatees one afternoon! The pool area looked great though we did not use it as we are beach people. If you are looking for a low-key, affordable place in the Keys, this is a great choice.
