This motel was so friendly. Lots of people come here year after year and I can see why. 70s style rooms, very clean. The beach is private and beautiful. Pool clean and just the right temperature for February. I thank them for working with us on the extra nights we needed.
Loved the hotel location and its right on the beach with awesome tables, adirondack chairs, and lounge chairs. Laundry onsite and a close walk to restaurants. We had the ocean front suite. Not worth the extra dollars. Luckily there was a door between the bedroom and the front room as the wall between ours and the next room was paper thin. We couldn't even use the front beach room as the wall is paper thin and the neighbors were so loud all day and into the night.
Suite room was great! Needed another pillow for futon. Seaweed was in so no beach swimming...bummer. tiki huts great to just relax and enjoy the view. No coffeemaker in room, so bring a single cup brewer! Bring clips to hold back curtain so the AC doesn't blow under it.
For a weekend get away it was cute. The rooms are small and for 2 couples I would recommend getting separate rooms. The 2 beds were full which made for a tough sleep. The room's refrigerator never got cold, so I am glad we had a large cooler still full of ice. There is no microwave and no hair dryer so keep that in mind when you book. On the plus side, the beach is steps from your room. There are nice tiki huts to sit under with nice chairs to lounge in. There is a pool which was nice if you were tired of being so salty. Havana Jack's restaurant is close by and the Cabana Club allows you to get cocktails and snacks as well. Not a bad spot if you are looking for a bargain.
Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and cleaning staff was fantastic. The only horrible thing I can say about key colony beach motel was that the Wi-Fi was non existant. Whenever I need to use my cell phone I had to go to the office. They need to fix this for a better rating
