This motel has comfortable rooms and they are clean. We had a double queen room and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom had nice plush linens and the water pressure was good.
SOME of the rooms on the 3rd floor have a bit of a view of the ocean so ask when you are making your reservations if that is something you are interested in. This is NOT an oceanfront or ocean view motel but it is close enough to the beach for most people to walk across the street at the traffic light with a safe pedestrian cross walk and then down to the ocean beach.
There is a beach park there with picnic tables, mini-golf, a snack shop, and plenty of parking if you prefer to hop in your car and drive down. There are several great restaurants right there as well...close enough to walk to for sure-Salt Life Food Shack and the Sand Bar & Kitchen. These restaurants have delicious food and most evenings have live music groups playing.
The Comfort Suites serves a hot breakfast buffet each morning and it has a good variety of items available for guests to choose from. There is a hostess who keeps things fresh and filled up and she is so friendly and helpful. She knows the area very well and can make good recommendations about things to do. The entrance to Fort Clinch State Park is adjacent to this motel so you can circle out of the parking and head right down to the entrance for a visit to this wonderul historical and nature attraction. And the beautiful historic downtown district with all of the quaint shops and fabulous restaurants is just a short drive away straight up Centre St into the town where there is plenty of free parking available in public lots and along the tree-lined streets.
Comfort Suites is a great place to make your home base while you are visiting this area.
