The steak and lobster were both delicious and perfectly prepared. Our server, Christopher, was outstanding. He was very attentive, offered excellent suggestions and ensured every aspect of our evening was perfect. We enjoyed the piano player as well and look forward to dining here again.

My husband and I had dinner here on the evening of April 28 while on a weekend overnight "stay-cation" in Clearwater Beach. We had walked past this place many times during day trips to the town, but never had the opportunity to have dinner there until this past weekend. We did not have a reservation, but arrived pretty early (around 6 pm) hoping we could beat the normal dinner crowd. We were seated immediately in a nice booth that held about 6, and it was nice and cozy and had a white table cloth. We ordered the Escargot and a cup of Vichyssoise (cold potato soup) and both arrived at our table very shortly after we had placed our beverage order. Both were delicious. Our very nice waiter also brought out a basket of rolls and banana bread along with a relish trey that included, corn relish, cottage cheese with fresh chopped chives, fresh made apple butter, and a spicy cranberry relish. We tried each of them, all of which were quite delicious. For dinner I had the Rockefeller Shrimp, and my husband had the Char-broiled Beef Filet Tenderloin Tips. Both plates were also delicious. It was a very good meal, our waiter was very polite and attentive, and the atmosphere is quite nice (casually elegant). We will certainly consider dining here again if we ever spend an overnight evening in Clearwater Beach. It was a pretty good value for a fine dining experience.

Restaurant was opened in 1948! Homemade everything . Service was very attentive. Calming and relaxing experience for sure.

For $19.48 I got the Southern fried chicken with all the trimmings. It was a steal for sure.

Loved this place and would return.

I have not been here for a few years. Had a reservation at 6:30 but because of the horrific traffic we had to call and tell them we would be late. When we arrived we were excited because there were many nice tables available. So we thought. :(. We were informed that there was a wedding tonight and all seating would be at the south end of the restaurant and would be about twenty minutes. So off to the bar we went. So we thought. There was no place to even stand. Every time we tried to stand in a tight corner a waiter would tell us that we were in the aisle. Just too crowded! It was just about twenty minutes and our hostess took us our table. Nice corner with booth seating on one side and chairs on the other. First loved the relish tray and assorted breads. My friends ordered the Prime Rib and Sea Bass, my wife and I made our own Surf and Turf by sharing a Seafood platter and skewered Beef medallions. Our food was very well prepared, seafood (shrimp scallops and fish was lightly breaded and served along with a crab cake. Beef medallions were nicely done as well served with Bernaise sauce. Our friends meals prime rib was great but a little small for the price and the Sea Bass was nicely prepared.
The only issues that was a negative was my friends wife is a very light eater and she ate about a third of her meal and before she could tell the waiter doggy bag it he scraped it on the bus plate of no return. The waiter should of asked her if she would like to take it home.
If the nicest area of the restaurant is going to be booked for a wedding on a Saturday night let us know when we make a reservation. I would of preferred to come another night. Still a nice time though.
