Spent 2 nights here either side of Safari, was the perfect stop. Great staff, food, location and swimming pool. No to mention Zonkeys and Buffalo, and view of Mt Kilimanjaro on a good day. Had lovely guided walk through the local village as well. Will be back!More

We just came back from Tanzania, having spent 5 days at the Mount Meru Game Lodge. We had an amazing stay and it was the perfect place to land and settle in before we left on a 5 day safari. The owners and staff were amazing, as was the food , pool, and overall setting. We enjoyed our days there and also making little side trips nearby. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Indeed, where we are in Usa River offers places of interest and excursions that, more and more, our guests are choosing to spend time exploring: the 18-hole Kili Golf course; cultural walking tour (guided by one of our staff members); canoeing on Lake Duluti, forest walks, day trip to Arusha National Park (entrance gate on the Momella Road is a 15 minute drive from here) and more.

Very beautiful and cozy environment, monkeys and pelicans, spacious rooms, friendly staff.
Dining outside was a wonderful experience and the breakfast the next day was very good.
I strongly recommend this place because it's outside of Arusha in a splendid environment.

We stayed at Mt. Meru Game Lodge on both sides of our Kilimanjaro trek. The peaceful and serene surroundings of the lodge made it a place we could totally unwind. We sat on the terrace for hours drinking coffee, meeting with friends and watching the animals frolicking in the river. There is a good variety of food, which is hearty and delicious. We were lucky enough to be there over the weekend when they fire up the pizza oven. Perhaps the highlight of our stay was getting to know the owner, Harry, who is super lovely. Hopefully we will have an excuse to return someday.

The Lodge was perfect. We arrived very late because of flights delays, at 4 AM. They were so helpful to get us into our rooms with the best service. The laundry service, food, massages, and dinner service was very high-quality. The place is beautiful, affordable, and in a great location. Highly recommended! I even met the owners and they were very nice to chat with.
