I recently spent a week at Kili Villa in their Tembo Mtoni house. I had business to do in Arusha and this turned out to be a most perfect place to spend the time while I had meetings and work to do. The staff I interacted with (Rosemary and Stefano) were exceptional in terms of knowing how and when to engage with me and when to give me my privacy. Birding was excellent just from the back porch! But the icing on the cake was Stefano's cooking. Probably one of the best chefs I have experienced in over 25 years of visiting Tanzania. There are a lot of activities to do in the area if you want to spend a few days relaxing before or after your safari. I would highly recommend using this property but you will get the most out of it if you stay more than the arrival night or the dayroom.

Kili Villa is a true gem of a lodge one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed in. A beautiful and comfortable villa surrounded by unspoilt nature, with professional and friendly staff was a truly memorable experience. Seeping your morning coffee and looking at the antelopes grazing in the garden, watching the wide variety of birds during the day, or stargazing near the campfire at night is simply unforgettable. The sense of privacy, immersion in nature but with all mod cons, and, most of all, the friendly and kind people make it more much more than just another lodge. The food was simply delicious, on par with the best restaurants in 5-star hotels. During the day you can go for walks on the expansive nature estate, play golf on the best golf course in the country or even do a horseback safari nearby ( the latter is highly recommended). Kili Villa may not be to everyone's taste, as this is not a city hotel with TVs, air cons, busy bars, music etc. But for anyone who loves being in nature, staying in unique and beautiful surroundings and enjoying friendly and personal service - this is the place to My big thank you to everyone at Kili Villa, I will miss you all and I cannot wait to be back!

Our stay here far exceeded our expectations (and our expectations where pretty high)! Honestly, if you are considering booking Kili Villas, just book it, you won’t regret it. The staff is exceptional- friendly, professional, always willing to get anything you may need. They constantly have smiles on their faces and are just such a delight to be around. The food is really really good - they cook all sorts of cuisines but our favorite were all the local foods we got to try! Oh and the fresh juice and fruits every morning were a treat!

We are a family of 4 with 2 kids (6&8years old) and the staff were wonderful with the kids. The manager Stephano and cook Early involved the kids in baking special treats and the kids adored Rebeca too- and she taught us Swahili throughout the week and always served us with the best smiles!

Stephano set up and accompanied us on a village tour - one of our many highlights!

The pool was great for the kids- they used it often and the setting around Kili Villas is beautiful and feels very safe. We walked all around the roads and borrowed the golf cart to ride around a bit too.

Every evening they made a campfire for us. It is really the perfect place to relax, yet so much to do around the area!
(We went on a Coffee Walk with Kahawa Fair Trade Coffee, visited St Jude’s school, the kids got a golf lesson at Kili Golf and we took the village tour with Stephano ... and there are so many other activities available too).

I highly recommend staying for more than a couple nights... we stayed a week and could have stayed a lot longer!

What a beautiful place in the middle of nature! I stayed (unfortunately only) one night in the Tembo Villa in March. It was such a peaceful place! The villa was amazing, very spacious, lovely decoration and interesting library. In front of the villa is a private swimming pool and in the back a huge garden with fireplace. Big bedrooms, bathroom with shower and bath, pure luxury. The staff was very friendly, always around when you need them but also very discrete, and always helpful. Food was great too, dinner as well as breakfast. On the verandah there are several seatings and a huge dining table, and inside, for colder evenings, a pleasant living room with fire place. What I loved most was the silence: you hear no traffic at all, only the sounds of the bush and an occasional donkey from the nearby village. And while having breakfast I was being treated on an entertaining show in the garden of colourful birds, busy squirrels and shy dik diks, enjoying the fresh grass. An excellent place for all nature lovers and of course also for golfers with Kili Golf at a stone's throw.
