We arrived in Arusha at 4am and went straight to Rivertrees. The staff was wonderful in our arrival and we were quickly settled in our room. We rested and then started our day. The staff was great, they were attentive and helpful. The grounds and rooms were lovely and clean. Food was very good. The 3 species of monkeys on the grounds were fun to watch. We did the afternoon village tour and enjoyed it quite a bit. A wonderful introduction to Tanzania!

Beautiful, well cared for lodge (former farmhouse) on a huge property. The rooms are huge and identical to the photo.
Attentive staff and delicious food. The buffet breakfast is top notch. Must try the best pizza ever baked on an outdoor wood fired oven.

We stayed here for one night having flown into Kilimanjaro airport - we were very comfortable here in 1 of 34 rooms and had a good size chalet to include large bedroom and ensuite - set in tropical gardens with monkeys around the staff were good and the evening meal first class - staff very helpful and friendly - very comfortable in a good location prior to a safari

Stayed here for one night after flying into Kilimanjaro. A lovely welcome from smiling staff. Room was perfect had everything we needed. Ate a lovely meal at the restaurant even though it was late staff were more then happy to stay. Breakfast the following was equally good. We had a short stroll around the grounds and loved the sound of the river. Would recommend.

Start your trip in the right way. This hotel is really clean, comfortable and well located if you are planning to have a stop before Safari or Kilimanjaro walk. Great service and kind staff - we really enjoy our stay there
