My stay was very unpleasant and unbearable. I checked in for two nights. I am a Hilton Honors Gold member. Before checking in, I called the front desk to request a room upgrade, and they offered me another King suite with a bigger balcony. Upon checking in, I noticed that they did not honor the upgrade as agreed. When I entered the suite, I noticed that the light switch did not work so I had to maneuver through furniture in the darkroom to turn on the lamps. The room was freezing cold and after an hour of waiting, I realized that the heater does not work. Also, after a long 10 hour drive, I could not take a shower because the water was too cold with no hot water. I called down to the front desk to ask for assistance with the water and heater. They made me wait over an hour. When maintenance came, they weren't able to fix it and left the room extremely cold. They advised me to speak to the front desk for other options. I came down to speak to the night manager and he says that the best thing he could do was to provide a small heater, but he couldn't do anything about the hot water issue. I waited for over an hour for the heater, until they told me that they could not find one. I asked to switch rooms and he did not allow it. My partner and I were unable to shower that night and had to sleep in a freezing room. The next day, we tried to request a room change, and even though they still had available rooms, they refused to switch our rooms and couldn't offer anything more. My partner and I got sick from sleeping two rainy nights in the freezing room. This stay was an extreme disappointment because I expected higher standards from a Hilton hotel and better accommodations for Hilton Honors members.
