We needed to stay in this area for a very early appointment the next morning and were just using the room for a place to sleep. I hate to spend much whenever we need a place just to sleep verses staying for a few days or more. So I decided to give this a try by booking through TripAdvisor. Booking through TripAdvisor was a breeze, but the motel however was a disappointment. On the plus side check-in was smooth and easy. We arrived about 8pm and the lady behind the window was very nice and the aroma slipping through the pass through smelled delicious. I think they were having dinner when we arrived. I was presented with a credit card preauthorization which was higher than the amount quoted. I asked why and she explained they charge a $20 refundable deposit. So ok, paid and got two slips with codes she said were for the free Wi-Fi.

We stayed in room 124 on the ground floor. Although they appeared pretty full, there was plenty of parking and we got a spot two down from our room. The room was clean and smelled fine when we entered, absolutely no complaints at this point.

As it was a hot evening we instantly turned on the air and sought out ice. The ice machine across from the office requires a quarter to get ice. It would have been nice to know this at check-in as I did not have a quarter so back to the room I went. Upon returning from getting the ice I checked out the room further. There was a broken towel rack in the bathroom and as noted by others the pillows are really small (several had patches on the cases). Darn, forgot to bring our own as recommended so back to the office to request two pillows. The gentleman behind the glass was very nice and said he would bring them down to the room. As we were immediately leaving for a late dinner he said to call when we got back and he would bring the pillows to our room.

Upon returning close to 11pm I called and he brought 1 regular sized pillow stating that is all they had. Next we found out that the Wi-Fi codes were good for only one device and one code did not work at all. Later as my wife was getting ready for bed she placed a wash cloth in the sink to ensure she did not lose a contact. She had a very unpleasant surprise as the wash cloth and hand towel were quite dirty and it turned out we only had one wash cloth, one hand towel, and one bath towel in a room for two. Called the desk twice, no answer, figured they were closed so I decided to call it a night and call the front desk in the early morning. We decided to rinse the hot day off. The bar of soap was so small that we used it up that evening. Added another bar of soap to the growing list of things to get in the morning. Next we discovered the sheets on the bed were one size smaller than the bed. I will say the bed, if we had regular size pillows and sheets, the bed would have been very comfy.

Next morning we called and received everything we needed plus borrowed a hair dryer as one was not in the room. The service overall was very good. I would have given West Coast 4 stars except for the dirty washcloth and hand towel and the high number of minor nuisances. There is NO excuse for having dirty linens in the room.

good location for Vietnamese community, relatively clean for the money,
bad service: we had booked 3-day stay, one 2-queen room for 4, from 7/1 > 7/3, arrived at 1:10' am 7/2, which was 1/2 day our loss, we were told checked in 10' late and our booking had been cancelled , we had some unfriendly chats and they finally found only 1- bed room for our handicapped parents and sent us out roomless. We drove around the block at 1:30 midnight and found another nearby for 2 of us. Very bad experience towards small inns, motels

Room tip: close to heavy traffic road, Harbor and Westminster

The room was very clean as was the whole facility; it was also well lit.

Had a few problems receiving the digital TV stations, but it was a good stay.

There is a McDonalds right on the corner, and it was only a five minute walk.

We arrived at Disney without a reservation in June. All the hotels were full or $300 a night. It was nine at night and all we needed to do was sleep and go to Disney. We were so lucky to find the West Coast motel. The room was clean, great shower, good beds, micro and fridge for breakfast use, good ventilation and quiet for sleeping. We paid 80 bucks. We were at Disney in 15 minutes with slow road construction issues. Went right to the Buzz Lightyear lot and then five minutes into the park. Super great place if you do not need all the fluff. McDonalds was very close too.

Room tip: All the rooms seemed nice.
