This attractive restaurant, complete with indoor lagoons and floor seating a la old Japan, is no longer in business. Surprising since there as been a boom in Japanese cuisine in the area, but mostly new sushi places. Sorry to see it go—great fun to dine with a group sitting on the floor (the kids especially loved it).

Not only has sushi arrived, but it has arrived in style.

Bonsai is fabulous. It has a relaxed environment with a quirky feel - yes, those are deer busts on the wall. Turns out, the owner has some really interesting stories about that -don't forget to ask.

The staff is always a bit busy. The place is usually pretty jamming. Portions are big, so go hungry. The rolls are perhaps not so different from what you'll see on other menus, but the quality and the portions are generous.

The place is pretty family oriented in the evenings, and tends to quiet down about 7:30. Sit at the bar. They'll make anything for you, and great to talk with the chefs.

Great find. Welcome Bonsai. We love you!

If you want top quality sushi, this is the place to go. It is not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. The tempura is delicious, too, and it's worth it to try both the shrimp and vegetable tempura. We usually go at lunchtime, and it can get crowded on Fridays.

It is a very nice restaurant, feels like going to Japan with the koi pond and bamboo bridge at the entrance. The interior is Japanese style and feels very roomy. The food is fresh and wow, the servings are huge! Good for two meals. The salad was zesty with ginger and very nice. The beef and chicken teriyaki are good and the tempura is a little greasy, but wonderful. Service is good also.

The salad with ginger dressing, while different in terms of what we were used to in terms of ginger flavor, was amazing! The sushi was very fresh - nigiri was exceptional. The roll choices are limited and we ordered one which came out very large in size. It was very tasty however. Service was prompt. Value was great. I would definitely eat here again.
