Our family has been going to this hotel for years. This year, we enjoyed another additional pool with the sun slide for the kids. This is a beautiful hotel that’s been expanding over the years. Love this hotel for the amenities and their wonderful staff.

Made two reservations by mistake during the SPG & Marriott merge. Andrea at front desk was super pleasant and helpful. She helped us cancel the second reservation and refunded us our money.

I highly recommend this hotel especially for families!

We recently stayed in a one bedroom villa at the Desert Willow Villas. The property itself is very nice and because we were there at the end of August, the entire place was quiet and peaceful which is what we were looking for. They have 3 or 4 different pools throughout the resort and for the most part, most of them were well maintained and quiet. The downside was there was barely anyone around for poolside service but perhaps our expectations were too high. We were at times a little disappointed in the service that was provided. We had to ask for room service a couple of times and our trash and other guests' trash bags were outside of the hotel rooms waiting to be picked up. It was not the Westin standard that we had expected. It was odd that during off season housekeeping was so slow. There's also a lack of restaurants/food at the resort with very little variety. They also promised that shuttles or golf carts would come by every 10 minutes to pick you up and take you to the main building but we had to call twice and no one ever showed up. Again, the service was lacking and given that this is a Westin property, we were expecting much better attention to guest's needs. Overall the staff was friendly and we enjoyed our time but I think there are a few things the resort could improve upon.

Desert Willow Owner here... love the staff, excellent efficient service, clean villas and resort amenities, so WHY 3*?

Westin needs to step up their EV Charging policies and accommodations.

Of 5 total plug-ins resort-wide, 1 was out-of-order, others not all designated "EV" (not painted &/or no signage, though dual plug-in station is clearly visible) so people use as regular parking spots.

Notified WDW front desk of cars blocking EV spots, they refused to notify the car owners, though they could have as the parking passes displayed on dashboard have account #. This is not a matter of limited parking spots, there were 10+ open spots directly near the charging spots.

WDW could be proactive, instead they choose to be complacent. After trying to get an EV spot all day, a Sat, we had to drive 10 miles to a supercharger.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with actionable feedback in regards to your recent stay at the Westin Desert Willow Villas, Palm Desert.
As we pride ourselves on delivering a memorable hotel experience during your travels, we have unfortunately fallen short of our goal during your recent stay.

Please accept our sincere apology for the issues you experienced. We have new decals that have just arrived to paint dual EV spaces at all locations. We also are in the process of replacing the out of order unit with another dual station. This will double the options in this area and hopefully provide you with uninhibited access to a charger.

Once again, thank you for your valued feedback and we hope to serve you again whenever your travels bring you back to Palm Desert. I look forward welcoming you in person on your return.

Everybody at this property was extremely friendly. The accommodations are wonderful well-equipped. This property is very peaceful and quiet even over a holiday weekend. We stayed at this property even though we are not SPG timeshare owners, yet we were treated just like we were. We have stayed at many Westin properties, and this is most likely our favorite one of all so far. We like this even better than the new Westin in Maui. The entire Palm Springs area has so much to offer, and some of the best food you’ll ever eat. If you’re looking for something to do, check out the Palm Springs Air Museum, it is fantastic, plan on it taking you several hours to view everything they have to offer.
Looking for great food at a reasonable price, check out Shame on the Moon Restaurant, in Palm Desert, there are four course dinner is hard to beat.

The friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, quality of accommodations, several large pool areas, and area activities really made this a wonderful place to relax for a few days, even in the heat of the summer.

Room Tip: Shop at the local Ralph's supermarket about 2 miles away for snacks, drinks, and barbecue food.
