From the moment I walked into the grand entrance and faced the check-in counter, I was impressed with this property. So much so, that we Only stay here, if at all possible, whenever we’re in the area, and that’s about twice a month, of late. The staff at the front desk was personable and very accommodating. I felt welcome and that’s saying something, these days. I had the 2 bedroom suite and it was clean and well stocked and spacious. We spent the evening in the living room space with family and ate sandwiches for dinner from Jersey Mike’s, which is on property. Had plenty of space for visiting. Kitchen was fully functional. Again, very clean. Bedrooms were large, had a terrific view of the airport. Had no outside noise in the bedroom when trying to sleep, despite flights continuing throughout the night quite nearby. Spacious and clean and well-maintained showers. It was just a great place from the very first visit. I really can’t say enough about how nice it was for the price! I would have expected to pay much more for a room in a place like this. Kudos to the Team :) They really are extraordinary.

This hotel doesn’t care about the guest experience. A fire alarm went off after bedtime forcing people to evacuate their rooms. After realizing there was no fire, the alarm was turned off but they had put us in a handicapped accessible room, which means a strobe light was flashing in addition to the alarm. After the alarm was cleared, the light still kept flashing. Couldn’t use the room phone to call the front desk...solid busy signal...so I used an outside line to call the front desk. They had no idea the strobe light was still flashing and said they would have someone check it. After 20 minutes with no one coming to the room and no remedy, I called again and was on hold for another 20+ minutes. Finally they said they had no idea how to turn it off and could move us to another room. Although no one wants to get dressed again, pack up all their things and move at almost midnight, we did that to get away from the headache-causing strobe lights. After talking with the manager the next day, he refused to give any consideration in the rate charged insisting that this was a safety thing and the system was working properly. I’m not sure how you can say a system is working properly when you don’t even understand how it works or how to shut it off. Anyway, there are many more options of hotels near LAX for lower rates and the same amenities who truly care about ensuring a positive guest experience more than their bottom line. Shame on you, Marriott. You lost a good customer today.

I was stopping over from a flight for just one night, and this hotel was great for me in all ways. It was very clean, the room loaded with useful features and lots of space...especially good for the traveling business person.... and quiet, despite being so close to the airport! The bed and linens were super comfortable. I used the hotel's complimentary shuttle to and from the airport, convenient schedule and very short wait in both directions. The location was great, super close to the airport, plus a 10-minute (apx $18) cab ride to Manhattan Beach so you can get your toes in the Pacific Ocean, walk the Pier and then walk around that cute beach town with good eateries and shops.

I highly recommend this hotel for either a short or long stay. Helpful and courteous staff, good value.
