Hollywood Boulevard has a problem. It is a draw for first responders and idiots. One night we woke up five times to the sounds of passing sirens. Other nights there would be only one siren event. When there were no sirens, there were idiots who wanted to play their music at full volume at the stop light outside the motel. This happened on two nights. This noise pollution problem may be shared by the two other nearby motels / motor inns.
The website said they had refrigerators in the rooms. This isn't always true. We planned to use the fridge to keep breakfast milk and leftovers cold. When we arrived, the room didn't have one. However, they did find one, and also found a working coffee maker. Since we were waking up at 3 AM, having breakfast in our room was critical to our plan.
The front desk clerk had difficulties with words in english, but managed to get his messages across.
The Lazy Farmer grocery store has a wonderful salad bar, and a hot foods buffet. It is in easy walking distance from the hotel. Ralph's is a more traditional grocery store, and is on the corner of Western and Hollywood.
Parking is an extra $10 per visit, which was not mentioned on the website.
