Hi Abraham, I am sincerely sorry for the inconvenience but would like to further explain the situation. We work with day-use reservations that offer check-in starting at 10 am and check out at 4 pm instead of overnight stays that have checkout at 12 pm or 1 pm. Closer to 12:30 pm we call and review our daily checkouts at our hotel. Unfortunately, our daily departure report does not exclude Day-use rooms as those are technically considered a checkout for the same day and missed the DayUse note before revising your room which is, without doubt, my mistake. However, I knocked twice and announced myself, and waited for a response which there was none before opening the door. I admit that I could have waited a few seconds longer or announced myself louder before opening the door but I did follow standard hotel protocol. After slightly opening the door, I glimpsed inside and immediately see you standing at the doorway. I politely mentioned that check-out was at 1 and asked if some additional time was needed or if the reservation should be extended. You mentioned that your check out was at 4 pm and I again mentioned that check out was at 1 pm and immediately realized that I had you noted down for a day-use room that does check out at 4 pm. I did go ahead and apologize and explain that I missed the note on your reservation. Shortly after reviewing the remainder of my departures, we met at the front desk where I attempted to further explain my mistake and our process but was scolded and called several indecent names which were very excruciating and degrading. Given the situation and understanding of my mistake, I went ahead and fully compensated you for the inconvenience. We also had a Dayuse representative reach out asking for additional compensation for your stay. After explaining to them what occurred they also felt that the full compensation was sensible and hospitable. Sorry again and if there is anything else we can assist you with please let me know.
