Had friends in from out of town who wanting some middle eastern food for a change, so having eaten here in the past thought that this would be a good place to go. Unfortunately for us the place has become really popular, and the management it seemed had taken advantage of this, by squeezing tables and chairs into every nook and cranny. Which means the kitchen is working like crazy to keep up with the orders. We had a reservation for 7pm and only had to wait fifteen minutes to be seated. Once we had carefully by passed the water on the floor from the leaking overhead light fixture we were seated in a nice booth at the back of the restaurant. Service was very nice but slow due the popularity of the place, we ordered an assortment of appetizers, which were ok. The Mezza sampler, spicy humus and veg grape leaves were nice. The Filet mignon pita was perfect, the lamb pita, beef kabob, with the salads were nothing special. Having lived in the middle east for many years I have eaten lots of falafel balls, served in many different ways so was a little disappointed with my order of them here. But there again we were in Belmont shores no Beirut.
TIP: Order the Zonin Prosecco for the price it’s a good buy, and goes with just about anything.
