If you are towing an RV, the size of the parking lot is accommodating. The bathrooms are clean and are accessible to the non-ambulatory population. The staff is ready to help you and answer your questions. Brochures are available. There is a small gift shop. The view outside is breathtaking. The interpretive center is informative.

Very nice staff and informative. Great maps and information on Lone Pine and the surrounding area. Nice gift shop too. Take the time to go thru the displays and topic map. There are some steep mountain roads getting into and back out of Death Valley . 9% grades

Yep, it's a typical visitor center but it does contain interesting information about the local area. I really enjoyed sitting in front of the large picture window looking out towards Mt. Whitney, such a beautiful view. Take a few minutes to stop in when your passing through the area.

Be sure to stop in to this visitors center! They have tons of information, nicely-priced gifts and lots of books. The view of the Sierra Nevada is amazing!

What an incredible experience - and it's just a visitor center! The staff is beyond helpful, we thought we knew a lot about Death Valley, but discovered much more just by talking with the staff here, plus we learned more about Lone Pine and sites nearby as well. There are some incredible displays inside, so you can orient yourself with the area and the sites (you think you know how to spot Mt. Whitney in the distance? think again!), AND (best yet) you can buy your pass to Death Valley right here, no lines, no stopping and negotiating the pay stations as you drive in, it's pure heaven. Absolutely recommend a visit, SO WORTH THE TIME.
