10-hour Private Tour to Lake Toya and Noboribetsu...

The entrance fee is quite high for what you can see (unless you enjoy the view of the gondola going to the top). They have 2 groups of bear on display which you can buy some food to feed them. The bear show only feature 1 bear and only last about 10 minutes. They are duck race and other minor attractions but overall I would say it is not worth the price.

A place to go if you want to know more about bears, its habitat etc. Bears were huge, the place is well maintained.

Bears are kept in a pit. This place is old and it needs to be upgraded. Beautiful views above Noboribetsu. It can get foggy in the daytime too. My kids liked the duck race.

By no means am I an activist but the bears in this exhibit live in pretty devastating conditions. Faeces is all over and cages are all tarred with absolutely no greenery or shrubs for the bears. There is little shade in summer and bears are trained to ‘beg’ for cookies from visitors.

The ride to the Bear Park was refreshing as it allows the children to have a good aerial view. The Brown bears are well taken and up close, but there are only 3 sections so nothing much to see. There is a duck race, bear performance, a squirrel section and a village for a tribe, as well as a museum. Nothing much to do or shop. If you have about 1 hour or so to kill, it is okay.
