For our 32nd Wedding Anniversary,we wanted to go to "the Happiest Place on Earth!"We chose Disneyland,we hadn't been there in nearly 2-6 years??We booked online with the Sheraton Garden Grove. We drove the distance,5.5 hours, arrived around 6-8 pm.Greeted,welcomed,checked-in at the front desk, with Dani.We had a porter help unload, load the luggage to our room.We were going to a late Korean BBQ dinner restaurant. So I turned the thermostat to 75 degrees(it was raining upon arrival). And I unloaded the water bottles inside the mini-fridge.(The mini-fridge was missing the wire support, which holds the water bottles in the door area, from flying all over the floor upon opening the mini-fridge.)Oh yeah, the remote control was M.I.A. from the room!??Before we left,I called front desk, and spoke with Dani.Dani said, she will be getting hotel maintenance up to room for the mini-fridge part, and a remote, enjoy your dinner. So off to "KBBQ."Upon our return,I noticed no heat,no remote control,no mini-fridge part, hmmm. So I called the front desk, spoke with Dani, and gave her "the 32nd Wedding Anniversary List." We have no heat,on this rainy nite, room is cold.We still have no remote control for our beautiful Samsung Flatscreen. Our mini-fridge,still missing vital part.Oh yeah, and the wife said the toilet tank reservoir,is filling with water as fast as a "squirt gun." Dani said, she will be getting hotel maintenance up to room(this late at nite,OK?) for the mini-fridge,the remote control, the heating system, and the weak water pressure, inside the toilet reservoir tank, within ten minutes.Ten minutes later,Dani calls and states the heating system for our room is "down for the count, period."She asks if we would like another room?Yes.The Porter, bless his heart moved us.We moved five doors down to a much nicer room, but no mini-fridge,oh well, the heat works, the remote control is in the room and works, the toilet works fine, pressure and all.I called Dani and said there is no mini-fridge in our new room. She said by tomorrow we will have one.The Porter upon leaving said the manager,Vanity, wanted to leave a gift with us,tomorrow.Would it be ok to leave in our room?Of course! The following morning, before heading to the "Happiest Place on Earth",I checked in with the front desk.I mentioned our name, and what transpired last nite upon arrival.I asked if she could please "read all the notes."I mentioned we have no mini-fridge in our room.I also mentioned,"No charge for the mini-fridge,correct?" Yes Mr.C.So,off to "the Happeiest Place on Earth."Upon our return, around 6pm,to our lovely Sheraton Garden Grove room,we have mini-fridge,yay!But, "the Gift" from the manager,Vanity,is missing.(I figure it will be a couple of Nestle's Chocolate Kisses.")So,I call the front desk and say our gift is missing."Oh no Mr.C,it will right up,we were waiting for your arrival!"There is a knock on our door,we answer it,and SURPRISE!!!The pretty, young, front desk lady and porter, arrive with ice cold Champagne, and a dish of cheese and crackers..."Happy 32nd Wedding Anniversary!!"Thank-you Sheraton Owners,Vanity(Manager),Dani(Front Desk),The Porter,Sheraton Staff, for making our 32nd Wedding Anniversary Special. You are truly "World-Class Ambassadors",thoughtful, compassionate, caring, welcoming, professionals. You made things right,You made things happen,You went the extra mile,You,Sheraton Garden Grove are a Class Act!!With the personal touch(New Room/GIFT),you made us feel like family, important.I get all choked up,for what you did.Sheraton Garden Grove,I appreciate what you did for my wife and I.Thank-you,Gracias,Merci,Danka!Arnold said it best,"I'll be bock!"
