Petra is amazing. Take your time and hike and explore as much as possible. We had an amazing experience - especially because we had a private guide to lead the way (Abdullah Nawafleh). If you are in the Middle East - don't miss your opportunity to see this beautiful city!

Excellent ancient treasure called the treasury. You feel awe struck once you walk through mountain gorges and crevices and stumble upon this gem of treasury.

Whilst this is the place that everyone wants to photograph and so it is quite crowded, it still does hold its own. Yes, there is always a lot of crowd around it but then Petra has a lot else to offer too. The Petra by night is an expensive ticket but atleast at that time no one heckles you or is trying to sell you something and in the lights it is a gorgeous sight.

This is a nice iconic building in Petra but it is only one very small part of the site. You can not go inside but you can take photos from the outside. There is a 5-10 minute walk to an overhang if you want to get a picture from across and up above the structure.

Ladies - wear clothing that is at least knee length and cover your shoulders (Muslim country). Men - no shorts but t-shirts are fine. Respect the culture.

It is a iconic building. Go very early in the day for the best pictures.
