A great place to stay for your trip to Petra. Only a short walk to the town centre and approximately 40 min walk to the Petra visitor centre. But mind you going up hill is a challenge but doable. The hotel offers shuttle services to Petra visitor centre but you have to reserve the day before. Breakfast was good and the view of Wadi Musa is great after a long day at Petra.
Bathroom was quite small and seem a bit out dated but that's the charm of it.

This basic hotel does offer a comfortable stay with good clean beds. Breakfast is a very basic affair, bathrooms just about acceptable and staff that give basic service. Other than that the issues of time limited hot water availability (6am to 10am and 6pm to 10pm), curfew till midnight ( hotel main door is closed thereafter) and no consumption of alcohol allowed (even your own) limits this hotel to being just that, a very basic place to sleep in when in Petra

Cons: no wi-fi and hot water available at all times, rooms are rather old and worn out, hotel closes at midnight with no option to stay out longer.
Very nice stay! The staff is friendly and helpful. The food delicious, worth paing extra for the dinner buffet. They also prepare lunch boxes on request. The rooms are clean with confy beds. In the morning and afternoon they offer a free shuttle to Petra visitor center.
The thing I liked the most is the ambience and the breathtaking view from the room and dining room on the top. The hotel looks very traditional with red carpets and cozy feel as you are in a bedouin tent.

This hotel is far from the centrum and much more far from Petra Visitors Centre. The cleanes - under my average understandings. Service: Check-In: receptionist lauging on the phone , Check-Out - a woman talking on the phone. No Goog bye. Nothing. We have 3 rooms for 1 night. Thanks Good we choose to stay here only for one night. The hot water is runing only in certain hours. A wind blowing from the window and receptionist come with silicon gel to fill the holes. He says - its solved ...
The breakfast was fair enough. In general I will strongly not reccomend this place.
You are in Petra to take in the ancient wonders. So don’t overthink your accommodations. The Rocky Mountain is a solid location to rest after a long day of exploring. The hotel is quirky and kind of adds to the adventure - I would highly recommend grabbing your book and putting your feet up in the rooftop lounge. There is an awesome Shisha hangout next door, and a good spot to eat (Grand City Restaurant) down the street next to a grocery.
Only issue was the basement rooms (where we were) kinda smelled damp... but again, you are paying for a place to rest after and before long days of hiking in the sun.
