Check-in was very friendly, we were greeted as if we were returning friends. The GM was always on premise and knew us by name from day one.
Since we had a rental car, the 10-minute drive to the visitor's centre wasn't a problem for us. Getting away from the hustle and bustle of downtown rather felt like a blessing.
Our two rooms were close to the main building and were connected by a private outdoor sitting area where my wife and I had tea and enjoyed the warm night while the kids were asleep next door. Priceless peace of mind!
The architecture uses local stone and blends in perfectly with the environment. Rooms feature ancient vaulted ceilings and huge beds. Mini Bar contents are complimentary but were not refilled during our stay. The hotel is alcohol free, which didn't bother us at all. The village is on a fairly steep hill, so if you have a room further up, there might be some climbing or a club car ride involved.
Having an indoor pool in a hot and arid climate seemed a bit over the top at first, but when we came back exhausted from a day's hiking in the heat of Petra, we understood: it's about the shade and about reducing evaporation. Clever move! We never went back to the outside pool after that.

Beautiful resort, consisting of old town houses, many of which historic sites. Very well maintained / nice surroundings. A bit outside the City centre which gives a welcomed break from Petra focused tourism crowds. Very friendly staff. Great food and dining, although restaurant facility sometimes over-crowded by large tourist groups. Great pool area. Highly recommended.

We stayed two nights in this hotel in Petra: the arrival and check in was top! No cues and at 10 AM our rooms were ready for check in!! So perfect!

Pros:
1) Location, Location, Location
2) Very nice staff!
3) Good breakfast

Conts:
1) Not always enough sunbeds at the pool area
2) Almost no staff at the pool area (hard to get a drink or snacks)
3) Some the guests you don’t wanne have in your resort ☹
