The resort was nice enough but the rooms seemed to need some updating. It did seem that they were doing some work at one end of the building we were in Things seemed a bit worn, Like the water faucet in our bathroom that was corroded. The refrigerator didn’t work in both of our rooms. There were six of us in two rooms. When we got there, one room had a pull out sofa as the third bed which was in terrible shape. However they were accommodating and when we called them they did bring a new bed into the room, each was full sized. The staff is friendly for the most part, however we had to spend a lot of time trying to book the restaurants. We spent three separate times in the lobby trying to book times that seemed to always be unavailable, then the times we booked somehow got lost. And to be honest, they weren’t that great. The food at the buffet seem to be a better choice. The food there was very good. There was one Pool bar (no swim up) to serve two pools, and while I was there I did not experience any staff bringing around drinks to the beach or really even to the pool, so you had to go get your own. I have no major complaints about the resort, however I have been the better.

First of all, we would like to mention that whilst we know that our hotel is not brand new, we take great care in its maintenance and upkeep in order to keep it in perfect condition. We regret that you did not feel this was the case with the room during your stay as guest comfort is imperative at our resort.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we will make sure to look into your observations with our team to see where improvements can be made.

On the other hand, we are thrilled that you enjoyed the food and most of the staff as this confirms us that not everything was negative and you could have some joys after all.

Where can I start? We checked in with Soveyda she is very friendly and bublely, she makes us feel comfortable and at home, she also speaks French which was great for my daughters. Elizabeth was awesome as well.
The staff at the restaurant José (always singing and happy),Ray, Joseph, maría funny and friendly.
The activity staff Angela, Mr kool,Spaghetti,Heidi, omg! They are awesome so much energy and you can tell they love what they do.
I booked an excursion with Yvens and he explained very well with details also very friendly.

The grounds are very clean and rooms are done everyday.
Perhaps you have to call to refill Mimi bar. Reservations for restaurants a la carte is not always available for nights or time requested, but that was the least.
My daughters and I are planning a group trip next year God's willing to that hotel because we love it.

My wife and I stayed here. We ordered Stolichnaya, a fine Russian Vodka. The Bottle looked like Stoli, but what was in the bottle was more like lighter fluid. The only thing Russian in this place was the electrical wiring. It looked like it came out of 1944 Stalingrad. The first day we were there, a resort employee came out and danced around in a dress and Blackface! Another guest explained to us that the Dominicans are very racist against their neighbors, the slightly darker skinned Haitians, and this fellow was making fun of them. We were not amused. If I was black, I would be downright angry. Don't go anywhere near this Island. Not safe. Not clean. No reliable power or running water. There are 13 Toxicology machines on the Island and all 13 are broken. Much like everything else there. It is not worth the cheap prices.

First of all, in our establishment we have both national and international drinks, it is not the practice of our establishment to offer guests different beverages than the ones they ask for. We regret that your perception was not like that.

On the other hand, our staff is characterized by their respect and kindness to all. We assure you that all of our guests are treated with the same professionalism and this last can be verified by the comments we receive daily.

Although it would appear this was not the perfect fit for you, we hope you will join us again at one of our many other beautifully located Iberostar hotels for your next holiday.

During my stay there, I received a phone call on my hotel phone. A man told me in Spanish that he saw me enter my room, I looked good and what was my name. The same thing happened to my under age nieces (and also other guest we randomly found out about talking at the pool). When we went to the managers they did nothing. Offered to move our rooms but it would still be using the same vicinities. We didn’t want to do that because we didn’t know who it was and they were obvious watching us. We begged them to move us because we did not feel safe and the managerial staff did not care. They were not phased and extremely condescending. Starting asking us questions that didn’t even have anything to do with the situation. Thank you Iberostar Punta Cana for making us feel unsafe on our vacation. The time I’m supposed to be the most relaxed, my guard was all the way up. We never walked alone, even during the day. A lot of the male staff were very aggressive and sexually inappropriate. We also made that aware to the managers and they didn’t even blink an eye. The manager that dealt with my situation name was Cesar Nobles. I’m hoping that’s his real last name because he wouldn’t give us a card. Also, Natalie (she didn’t offer her last name) who is his boss was just as bad, if not worst with us as well. I’ve never dealt with such disrespect or brushed off so nonchalantly in my life. Especially when it comes to something as sick as this.

Thank you for taking of your time to share your experience, it is important to us to know about our guests feelings and it is sad to know your vacations at our resort was not the best time for you.

We apologize for the inconvenient you had about your safety in our place. We understand how you could feel when someone approaches to you with inappropriate conduct, however, it difficult for us to interfere with personal interactions between two guests, especially when we do not witness the situation.

Our Guest’s security is the most important for us and our staff knows it, and they are in the disposition to help you all the time, but there could be situations out of our hands. We are sorry that our staff was not up to your requirements due to our restriction to judge in personal matters.

This resort was a major disappointment, the rooms need a complete make over to be up to par with the other Iberostar resort that I have been to. I went with a group to a wedding and I added 3 additional days after the wedding to relax with my husband after the wedding. I had paid more money to be upgraded to what they call Superior Junior Suite and was so disappointment when I got into the suite. it wasn't a suite, the decor, curtains were so old. The first room they gave me was very warm, the air conditioning wasn't cooling the room and the shower door was not closing, had water flooding the bathroom after a shower. The room was changed to a different which stunk like sewage. They brought in a dehumidifier to remove the smell which really didn't help. I was so miserable whenever I went into the room. The disco was mainly Spanish music it could have helped if they had mixed it up. Also, not many evening entertainments..I loved the Iberostar in Jamaica, and simply thought Punta Cana would be no different, boy- was I wrong. I will not recommend or visit this resort again.
