We had a great stay at this colonial bungalow. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and I felt like staying at home only. The house has a great collection of books, and music. Although I couldn't meet Mr. & Mrs. Capoor personally as they were not in station, yet I never felt anything missing about hospitality. The staff was very good and caring.

Our stay at the Ajmer Bunglow was a delightful experience, we loved it! The Bunglow is charming, authentic and old worldly in its appeal, I particularly liked the wide variety of books in all the rooms placed so as to encourage one to pick up and read :)
Potters wheel, flavoursome home cooked meals ( especially Bagan ka bharta , green tomatoes and bullet potatoes, the non veg fare is also promising) and the most gracious and interesting hosts. Do catch some conversation time with Mr and Mrs Capoor..
The Bunglow has a very good collection of music ,it was after eons I heard some LPs :)
The hosts are most helpful with information to navigate the place. If you are planning a visit to Ajmer and Pushkar do check Ajmer Bungalow .

Ajmer Bunglow is Conveniently close to the bus stop and station, ten minutes drive from the Old Bazaar and major sights of interest, this warm and inviting family residence is the perfect place to base yourselves, when in Ajmer.

As you enter the gates, it feels like someone has transported you to a much simpler time. This place is the other end of the spectrum for city dwellers. Everything about Ajmer Bungalow relaxes you. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The living room has a fire place and is an amazing place to spend your evenings. The furniture is old school and how! It is guaranteed to remind you of your grandfather's chair/ furniture. The grounds are the perfect place to spend your mornings. And the quality and taste of the food is bested only by the hospitality of the people. Another unique thing about the place are the number of books that you will find lying around. Easily above 10,000. Its perfect if you are looking at getting away for a few days of peace and quiet.

I stayed overnight here with a few other friends on our way back from Jaisalmer to Delhi. After several hours on the road, all we wanted was a place to drop anchor for the night. We found Ajmer Bungalow quite by chance on the web, just as we were about to give up hope.

Ajmer Bungalow is a classic old house, beginning with the sprawling lawn and large driveway leading to a simple but welcoming living room with its own real fireplace. Inside the house, there are a multitude of books and board games, and you are transported back to your childhood days when all you'd want on a winter night was to spread out on the armchair next to the fire with a book or two, and read late into the night. Of course, if your friends were visiting, you'd enjoy a game of clue-do or monopoly with them!

Ajmer Bungalow has all this and more. The watchman is quite the all-rounder and lays out an excellent breakfast spread. And last but not the least is Bijli, the 7-yr old German Shepherd with lightning reflexes. if you're a dog lover, she'll make friends with you instantly and invite you to play catch with her in the lawn. If you can catch her, you should be running 100m sprints in the Olympics.

Ajmer Bungalow is a wonderful reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the big city, and a great place to pause on a long roadtrip. I will definitely come back here if I'm passing through Ajmer again. Thanks once again for making it a memorable stay!
