We went in Dec which is near end of dry season so rivers were low which made it difficult to cover a lot of ground but we had lots of animals near our bush camp. It was hot during mid day but most trips were during morning or afternoon.

We enjoyed a pleasant river boat ride, identifying many birds and wildlife including hippos - great experience!

The silence you find when you get beyond roads and traffic is priceless. And the sunsets in the delta are unbelievable. It isn't cheap staying in the Delta, but it also costs quite a bit to maintain five-star resorts in the middle of a delta where you have to fly everything in. Botswana is one of the countries leading the way in the preservation of African wildlife for the future.

The place of utmost rest and refreshing, it is great to take a boat cruise after a long day of work. Seeing the animals like hippos and birds along the delta gives a piece of mind.

In addition to doing game drives in a 4WD safari vehicle, you should explore this area in a mokoro canoe with a local guide. It can be visited year round but you will see more animals visible in the bush in the dry season.

Give yourself at least 2 days.
