We booked two nights at the PHH, and had a lovely stay in this elegant boutique hotel. First mention has to be the food - we booked dinner for our first night and were blown away by the fantastic quality of the menu. Husband had beef and I had the lamb with spicy sauce - both superb. We also had delicious desserts, and scraped our plates very clean. The lounge/bar area is lovely, with a very nice selection of gins/wines for me, and an introduction to the local Salcombe lager for husband going down very well.
Lovely offerings at breakfast - husband had full English both days. I had healthier fruit and cereal/toast one day, and an omelette the next. All very nicely done.
Staff were lovely, so friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious, bed quite comfortable. Nice selection of fruit, biscuits and drinks on offer. Bathroom was also spacious. The sofa in our room wasn't particularly comfortable for relaxing purposes, but nice to have one.
Parking was a challenge, especially one evening. Was just glad that we found a space both nights we were there, as not sure what the alternative would have been!
Lovely venue - would definitely recommend, and return here if we were back in the area. Its a great base to get out and explore this part of Devon.More
