We've just returned from a week staying at the Ronda 4 as a family of 4. We arrived late at night and was checked in with no problems. The room was basic but clean and quite spacious, we had a pool view which was great as the sun shone on this side of the appartments from around lunchtime till evening. The showers a bit tricky to master at first, just make sure the shower curtain stays inside the rim to avoid flooding the floor! If you want a sunbed you need to queue from around 9.30am for the doors opening at 10.00am so you can put your towels on and if you want the shallow end of the pool for the little ones this opens at 11am. The pool snack bar is great serving drinks and snacks with daily specials like Paella or tapas or you can stick the standard chips etc. They have happy hour 5 till 6. My 9 year old daughter enjoyed the pool which was cleaned every morning and there's a life guard on in peak season. If you want a safety deposit box you can hire one from reception for a small deposit and also if you want a remote control to operate the TV and air conditioning you can hire for a small deposit too. My teenage son wanted wifi as soon as we got there so in reception is a machine where you can purchase tickets for 1 day 3 days or a week. The Ronda 4 is ideally located opposite the beach and has a supermarket at the side with very friendly staff. There's no entertainment for the kids but we didn't mind as we liked to go out at night for meals and walk on the promenade.

For the price I paid for this hotel is was really pleased. The location is superb..literally over the road and you are on the beach!! The room is perfectly adequate for a base. The towels were only changed twice during our week's stay tho. The balcony overlooking the sea was lovely tho. The staff were friendly and helpful in both the hotel and the poolside bar. We only visited the pool briefly on a couple of occasions tho as there are very few sunbeds and no shade. The pool itself is nice tho. Clean hotel in a great location for an excellent price and I would definately recommend and return.

Great stay for 7 nights (6-13th july).......very friendly staff, lovely pool, however, only negative......not enough sunbeds and having to queue from 10:30 for pool opening at 11:00. It must be said though, I would rather queue than have people just putting towels down early......then not using them....and, the lifeguards take any towels off the beds if they were put on before 11:00..... so good in that respect.

Towels changed, bins emptied a few times a week, which for an apartment in this price range.....is very good.

Planning our stay there again next year!!

Room Tip: Best sea views at the fron of the apartments, however, ours was at the rear on the 7th floor which was great for the late sun.

we have just returned from out second year at the Rhonda 4 and just as last year the hotel was great. this is a family hotel and is well run. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and again checking in and out was painless. the pool area is great and the kids have a great time in the pool, they have a rule that lilos etc are not allowed in the pool which is great as the kids have plenty of room to play. It situated about 15 mins walk from the marina and the busier end of town, but this is not a problem as we appreciated the quieter end of town in the evenings. having said this there are plenty of good restuarante beside the hotel, supermarket next door which has some of the cheapest prices in town, but best of all the beach is directly facing the hotel, just walk out of the hotel and cross the road, brilliant. rooms were cleaned at least twice in the week and towels also changed, but if you needed them changed more frequent all you have to do is ask. Grub is served in the afternoon and evenings and is very nice and reasonably priced. I found not fault with the hotel, this has been our second visit and already we plan to go back next year. we met loads of people who have been on their 4th and 5th visits to this hotel. this speaks volumes.

Travelled in July with husband, our 5yr, 10yr and 15yr olds. The hotel was clean and ideally situated. Right on the promenade across from the beach. Plenty of shops, restaurants, bars up and down the area. Pharmacy next door. Transport is readily available and cheap.
The hotel is clean and friendly. The apartment was cleaned, beds and towels changed regularly. Kitchen has everything you need - fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, etc. "Lavomatic" is quick and easy to use, detergent is included. The pool bar is reasonable and food is good. The hotel lobby/bar/recreational area is fine but looked closed half the time with no atmosphere and 0 night entertainment. The reception is 24/7 but we found only one member of staff in the mornings actually knew her stuff - there was a lot of changeover and most of the time they were less than helpful - made no attempt to advertise the area to us, we got more information from a nearby restaurant.
Bus stop and train station a few minutes walk behind the hotel. Taxis are quick to arrive when called. Trains were very cheap and easy to follow.
Lovely pool - ideal for our 5yr old and older children. Garden is open from 10am (approx 20 beds). And the Pool (and approx 20 pool side beds) are open at 11am. Queue early! Lifeguard on duty until 7pm. No Lilos allowed, but other smaller toys are ok. Kids were allowed jump in as long as there weren't rough/dangerous.There was 0 pool side or any kind of kids entertainment.
Eating out - you get what you pay for. Lot of cheap and cheerful options, or the nicer restaurants are a little more expensive. Plenty of both around.
Beach - Good. Lot of water sports especially at weekend. Water is quite rough so a little dangerous, so children need a close eye. But it was great fun in the waves and on the water jump park. Body boards are about EUR8 in the shops - buy them early in the week to get the most out of it. Further up near the port the water is calmer if you don't mind a walk.
Entertainment - Wifi available in hotel for a fee e.g EUR30 for 3 days. There is more of a buzz up by the port 10-15 minutes walk away - Marina, Arcade/fun zone for kids., Playgrounds on beach, Go Karts, Cycle carts, odd bit of live music, stalls selling handmade items. Lot of the businesses near Ronda seem to close around 11.30 or so. Train take you directly to the square in Torremolinos but few euro, if you fancy a change. Waterpark in Torremolinos is a must. (EUR100 for family, EUR20 for return train)
No entertainment whatsoever in the hotel was a little disappointing given the price we paid.

Room Tip: Room 101, overlooks the promenade, and you can check out the pool bed status from one of the bedroom windows.
