I felt we had a very good experience. The rooms were efficient. There were shaker pegs along the wall to hang items. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. Yes the rooms weren’t large but I am out doing things and not sitting in the room. There was a padded bench under the window with a desk. We were worried it may be a loud hotel but we didn’t hear anything. If the room got hot you could open the window. We chose the hotel for its location. It was near the golden circle and on the ring road so everything was very convenient. Would stay again.

My wife an I stayed at Gróðurhúsið (The Greenhouse) in December'23 and it was absolutely wonderful. The room was beautiful and cool, the food in the food hall was "out of this world" good, and the staff were the best. I can't wait to stay there again.

Room was much smaller than pictured and in rough shape! Window was filthy, covered in bird poop. Wallpaper was nicked/scratched. No place in room to put a suitcase and no drawers.
Told reception about our dissatisfaction and she said “sorry” and gave us a free drink coupon. She either was not surprised or didn’t care.
