Older generations will note that all the unique, ethnic centred, family owned, restaurants and attractions are closing in favour of fast food, cookie cutter, chain type restaurants. Das Bratwurst is now another which is closing.

Attended the first week in April. As mentioned in all the other reviews, the food, schnitzel, brats, german potato salad were tasty; portion size enough to share or take some home. The service, excellent, by a young lady with a gift for the task.

Alas! according to the service person 15th April was the last day. The restaurant owners are retiring and closing the shop. Yuma has lost another unique, culturally centred, place to enjoy.

Ate here mainly because of high ratings. BUT it was disappointing! Prices high, food average. Constant pounding sound from the kitchen. No bread or salad included with the meal. Everything was extra over and above the expensive price of the meal. The manager was more interested in taking our picture for their Facebook page. Disappointing!

We called in a reservation so we had a reserved table next to the 80 year old accordian player. He kept us entertained before our food came. You can't rush the good German food when over 80% of your tables are being served.
Some of the music played my wife had not heard in decades.
You rarely have hot German potato salad this good unless you make it yourself.

1st off, we are very sad that they are closing in mid April! We came through town on our way To CA and stopped for dinner. Tried the rouladen for the first time and was a bit disappointed, the red cabbage and the cucumber salad were divine! My husband had the Bratwurst, German fried potatoes and apple sauce and pronounced it great. On our way back to AZ, we stopped for lunch. We both had the Knockwurst and the same sides; again we were very happy. The dessert with dinner was a shared piece of cake(not the chocolate) and it was wonderful and with lunch we each had the cherry strudel. We will certainly miss this place; was hoping to bring a group next Spring!
