Nothing too special about this hotel really, comfortable enough but pricey for what you get. Breakfast very good. Location is good, if not a bit noisy. Ask for a room with a view or you'll be stuck looking at the back of buildings.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights prior to an Antarctica cruise. As others have described, it is dated, and our room was functional without many amenities. However, the best part is the staff who bent over backwards to ensure our stay was satisfactory. For example, we had requested a queen/king bed but got twins; the staff immediately had the beds put together with appropriate linens, which worked fine. There is a restaurant onsite where we had dinner twice--a really nice menu with reasonable prices. A breakfast is included with the room, and there was a good assortment of hot and cold foods, as well as adequate seating. The hotel is within a block of the docks and two blocks from the downtown main street with shops and cafes. Even with a 3-ratings, we would still stay there again and recommend it.

This modern centrally located hotel, is close to the Main Street of shops and restaurants, and opposite the embarkation pier for Antarctic cruises. The bedrooms are spacious and clean. Breakfasts are varied, everything you could want apart from a hot breakfast cooked to order. Free wifi. Very nice cafe/restaurant in which to while away the time before or after check in/out time. You can leave your luggage in the lobby until departure but be careful it doesn't get muddled up with everyone else's.

The location of this hotel is what it's all about. It's right across from the dock where you catch your ship to Antartica. It was clean and comfortable with a very good breakfast. It was also 1/2 a block from the main street where there were lots of stores and restaurants.

Room tip: Rooms in the front would have a view of the docks and that would be interesting

The Albatros is a clean hotel located right in the middle of town. As most of the other reviews have said, the rooms are just OK. They are a little small, especially the bathrooms.

But it seemed clean and the staff was friendly. They also have a nice breakfast included.

The taxi stand is right across the street, although much of Ushuaia is within easy walking distance.

Room tip: Higher floors have better views.
