The room is very modern and clean and the staff is very helpful with things to do around the area. We chose a room with a view of the Beagle channel and even though it also faces the busy street we didn’t have any noise issues and slept well. It is very convenient to walking to the center of the city although it does involve some hill climbing to get back to the Hosteria. We did rent a car and there is limited parking in front of the Hosteria which is adequate for parking vehicles. There is a grocery store within a short walking distance from the Hosteria.

Our only disappoint was the breakfast. The breakfast was minimal even by Argentina breakfast standards (light meal). Breakfast was served in their large restaurant, yet the breakfast was more the size of what you would get in a less expensive place. The yogurt was like water and fresh fruit was cut into small pieces and mixed in a large bowl with canned fruit. They did have some pastries and a few slices of bread for toast along with slices of ham and cheese. The first morning there were locals in for breakfast and the set up was OK. On the second day when we went in for breakfast the staff had not set it up and took almost a half hour after breakfast was supposed to start before they had some items set up and then the staff left. They had set up a limited number of ham and cheese slices which is a staple of Argentina breakfast. The staff didn’t bring in needed bowls for the fruit and other serving items one would need to use for breakfast. The overall set up was a bit unclean. By the third morning we didn’t bother to go in to have breakfast.

Overall the room was comfortable, clean and nice. The location is great for walking to the center part of the city and there are other places to eat within walking distance. The desk staff is very helpful in planning out activities to do in the area.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Beagle Channel, a little more expensive but worth the view.

Although it could do with updating, this was a good solid hotel just outside the centre. The staff were lovely and really helpful when we needed any advice or taxis. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was ok.
We enjoyed our stay.

This is about a mile outside the city a nice walk on a sunny day. Not very friendly. We have to remember there is North America. Central America. South America and Mexico not every hotel understands customer service in the 50 states which is also America. Very clean and had Oreo's for breakfast they were free.

We spent there 4 nights. The hotel is good but rather expensive for the value maybe it is common in Usuaia. We have no comparison. It is just outside the city center but you still need 15-20 minutes walk to get right to the center and the tourist pier. The staff was very helpful with organizing excursions but one negotiation to get an early breakfast was surprisingly difficult. The best for us was the hotel restaurant. Very nice meals and wine, We tried several others in Usuaia and it was the only one we were treated very personally and not as subjects on production line of the tourist factory in the city center.

The best thing about this place is the staff, all of whom are very helpful and who clearly try very hard. The restaurant is also good. Better places to eat can be found by walking into the center of town, but when that is not appealing, it's nice to know that you can stay put and have a good meal right at the hotel. The downside is that the building itself is a bit old and in need of some renovations. The plumbing system is particularly problematic. Every time someone in the room next to ours would flush the toilet, we would be subjected to a loud screeching noise that sometimes went on for quite a while.
