Lovely house full of history!
Warm welcoming staff. Fantastic breakfast. Loved the Nespresso machine in the room.
Was too cold to enjoy the bright blue swimming pool, but we went for a ride through Town on the complimentary bicycles. What an experience!

A beautiful guest house in a pretty tree lined residential street. An easy 15-20 minute walk or really cheap uber ride into Stellenbosch which has plenty of good places to eat. An abundance of wineries all around the town. Clean, very comfortable and extremely well equipped guest house with lovely staff.

My wife and I decided to celebrate a landmark birthday of mine by visiting South Africa. With the limited time available we decided to head for Stellenbosch and the wineries first. A friend had recommended the Summerwood Guest House and very shortly following our arrival it become abundantly clear why. The house manager Cornel welcomed us on arrival, introduced us to her small team, showed us our room and explained the efficient, well organised, comfortable, relaxing and trusting rules of the house. Cornel and her team could not have been friendlier, more helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The guest house and gardens are very pretty, well maintained and set in a lovely tree lined well residential road just a 10 minute stroll from the town where there is an abundance of good quality eateries to enjoy - all with very pleasant and modestly priced wines. The wineries nearby are a must visit, cornel will happily set up a tour with a local tour guide who knows the wines and wineries very well and of course no one has to worry about driving. Cornel and her team could not have been more attentive. Summerwood makes you feel very at home, is entirely relaxing, and you immediately feel comfortable. We didn't want to leave, and very much hope to return. Thank you Cornel for making our stay so special, we hope to return.

We left Cape Town after five nights and made our way along the garden route. Our first stop was Stellenbosch and Summerwood guest house. It was everything that we were expecting and more. The room was amazing and the poolside garden and loungers. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and the staff were so pleasant. I would return in a heartbeat. Thanks Summerwood
