We only stayed one night at this hotel as a base while visiting the vineyards (but that's another story!). The hotel is a quaint little place in the middle of a residential type of road about 15 minutes walk outside of town. We arrived at about midday and as is usual in SA we weren't able to check in until 2pm, the staff were very hospitable and said that our cases would be safe in the car, although they offered to store them for us until we got back. On returning from our wine tour and very slightly tipsy we were greeted with a very large comfortable room, the bed was a super super king size and almost swallowed you up with the cozy duvet. The room was decorated in mutual tones and had all the complimentary extras that you would expect (tea/coffee, bottled water, toiletries, hairdryer.....) We were only stayed for the one night and it was mid October and raining, looking around however, I can imagine that the little pool in the lovely secluded gardens and the bikes that were available to borrow would have been very nice on a warmer day. Waking up and fully refreshed we went to breakfast in a small, well appointed dining room; breakfast consisted of some cereals, fruit, yogurts and cold meats as well as a choice of cooked breakfasts, I chose the scrambled egg and smoked salmon while my husband chose the omelette, both of which were delicious and presented beautifully . The staff were exceptional and very convivial . The only negative that I could say is avoid room number 2 as it was in between the dining room and the kitchen and this woke us up (a good thing for us as we wanted an early start for our drive to our next location, but may not be as good for some)
