We wandered up the road from our hotel, looking for somewhere for our family- 6 adults and 4 children could have an early dinner as we were tired from our long trip to the Cape. As usual, when you are so many people, ordering food is a complex business. But we already had the drinks to help us along. The children of course headed for the pasta which we tasted and it was excellent. Some of us went for the other end of the spectrum and enjoyed fried sweetbreads. Delicious! And there was something to suit everyone. What made the evening for us, however, was the charming welcome and exceptionally friendly service to our disorganised clan. A super initiation to South Africa! And, as usual compared to Europe, reasonably priced. Recommended!

Kloof is a lovely place to walk and eat and the Black Sheep was superb. There was more than one dish for a vegetarian to eat and the flavours were good. The staff - especially Daniel made the night. All staff were attentive, friendly and extremely welcoming. The restaurant has a great vibe, is clean and fun. Will definitely return.

Outstanding food, excellent service from James (Bond) and great atmosphere. I had the cerviche, the pickled beetroot and the tuna noodles, all delicious and great portion sizes. My partner had the pork belly which he says was the best he has ever had, and our guests had the chili squid and asparagus parmesan rolls - all mouth wateringly delicious. Reasonably priced too. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back. Well done Black Sheep.

We have been coming here for years now. This is one of our favourites. It was again good. The menu does change but because we have been there so often we are always looking for the new menu items. Our recent meal was good but we lacked choice on the mains. Four mains of pork which we do not eat!

We will be back but always looking for the totally new creations.

We fell in love with this casual restaurant. Service was great. The food was varied and delicious. I had the beef and homemade noodles. Excellent.
We enjoyed it so much we went back a second night.
