I stayed for 5 days on a business trip, the highlight was the staff, very helpful, friendly and professional.
The room was also spacious and nice decor.
The only remarks for improvements are that the menu in the room service is very limited and another remark at the restaurant for breakfast i had to wait in line for 10 minutes as the receptionist needs to check every person and seat them which takes time. It was frustrating to wait because i had to go to my meeting in 15 minutes!

A few teething problems upon checking in and with our booking however I can truly say the staff did totally everything possible to turn the situation around - we had a very enjoyable stay. Views from our spacious and modern suite was over the waterfront .
Excellent location for sight seeing and the V&A. The spa on the top floor was amazing and the pool and hot tub so relaxing and just perfect after a full day of seeing what Cape Town has to offer. Hotel spotless and modern. Breakfasts great - the fruit was so delicious.

Room tip: higher floor for views

Very Good location and Hourly shuttle service to the V and A Waterfront. The hotel does give a business like feel but the rooms and staff are very warm and welcoming for families visiting Cape Town for a holiday.
The conceirge staff were also very helpful and guided me well as regards our daily activities!

The only thing which could improve is the attitude of the staff at the breakfast buffet. Some if them were not warm or friendly and were in a rush to clear our plates , even as we were eating. They even put other pples used plates for a few seconds onto our table so as o pick up ours next. and it was done unapologetically .

We did not complain as we do not understand that culture of South African staff but as five star Hotel we would expect more professionalism.

Definitely not for everyone, but it is accommodating to any guest. In my opinion, this hotel is primary for people travelling for business purpose. The look of it and the feel, is very business inclined.
I love their indoor swimming pool which outlooks the Waterfront. I recommend it warmly.

It is no doubt that the name Westin is associated with a good, expensive chain hotel. But i was a bit disappointed that the service was not so good. I have participated in the program to conserve the earth and also due to the drought, that during my 4 nights stay at the hotel, if we hanged the notice on the door, our bed linen and towel would not be changed. That i do not kind a bit. But just because I hanged the notice on the door, even the used glass and cups were not washed and replaced with the new one. Do they expect us to use the dirty cups and glass?
Other that the above, i have no complains, the room was quite spacious, the hotel has shuttle to go to the V&A waterfront. And for those going to the conference, it was very convenient.
