Don't miss the charming cocktail lounge downstairs with lots of historical stories. Very well located hotel with comfortable rooms and wonderful staff who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable.

We had four nights at this fabulous hotel. We were made extremely welcome and felt at home straight away. We could not have had better service from all staff - including the laundry staff who organised a new zip for my trousers in half a day and the very helpful concierge who booked fabulous restaurants for us in the V&A area and also in the main part of Cape Town. A perfect setting with excellent dining room, friendly staff and great facilities.

The shellfish broth is a nice starter. It has prawns, ban sprouts, green pea and broth is poured over the above table side. The fillet is very good. My dinning companions had the lamb and mushroom pasta. Everyone enjoyed their meals. A very nice wine menu and William our waiter provided outstanding attentive service.

First class hotel ideally situated on the V&A Waterfront. This 5 star hotel lives up to its reputation. The staff are very attentive and from our room we had a fantastic view of Table Mountain. We would certainly visit again.

We stayed at the Cape Grace for 5 nights and thought it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The service was second to none from the moment we arrived at the main entrance through all the different departments. There was a huge feeling of warmth, helpfulness and professionalism. Everybody went out of their way to make us feel at home, help with our travel plans and answer questions. The location was perfect and we enjoyed the proximity to lots of shops and restaurants. We felt very safe wandering around, even at night. Our room was quite spacious and comfortable with lots of storage space - useful when you are on a long trip. We had a small lunch in the bar area on the day we arrived and really enjoyed a charcuterie plate and bottle of rose wine. We had dinner twice in the hotel and I would really recommend the 7-course tasting menu with wine pairings in the Signal restaurant. All the courses were delicious, just the right size, very varied, and well complimented by the accompanying wines. Although not cheap, we thought the price was excellent for the food that we ate. We also had a very enjoyable, but more simple meal in the hotel on another evening. The bobotie was excellent. We also did one of the wine tasting experiences in the hotel which was also great.

Room tip: We had a room overlooking the harbour which was lovely
