We spent three nights at Cape Grace last month at the start of our Safari Tour in Botswana.
The decor of the Hotel is beautiful with a warm homely feel and the service was friendly and efficient. Our room was very spacious with a lovely view over the Marina and waterfront. I liked the separate toilet in the bathroom and the washing detergent supplied with the toiletries as well as the heated towel rail. The expresso machine, bottle of fresh milk , lemon for the tea and the lovely biscuits were such a nice touch.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Signal restaurant and the breakfast was fabulous.
We would definitely recommend this hotel as it ticked all the boxes!

We stayed at the Cape Grace Hotel as part of our holiday to South Africa and Namibia. We knew that it would be an expensive holiday but we have learned to insist that our travel agent breaks down the cost of the holiday between flights, individual hotels transfers etc. The Cape Grace Hotel is a magnificent hotel and is right on the Waterfront so a superb location. However we did not know the cost of staying there as our travel agent provided an overall cost for our holiday despite us requesting a breakdown. When in SA we discovered that we were probably paying around £600 a night for our room. It was a large room but as we were out for most of the time we could have managed in a more modest room and indeed more modest hotel. Nonetheless if you want sheer luxury and probably the best hotel in Capetown the stay at Cape Grace, it deserves 5 stars but we felt that we had been overcharged.

Room tip: ask for waterfront / and table mountain view and higher floor to get the best views.

From entering through the front door we were greeted by super friendly and efficient staff. Our room 118 had a beautiful View - very spacious with attention to the smallest detail.
The whiskey bar is a very special experience. Breakfast was a highlight after such a wonderful stay.

I have just returned from a lovely 2 nights break at the cape Grace, we had a table mountain view room which was lovely, so would recommend you upgrade so you have a nice view.
The food service and facilities are great, we dined in the tapas restaurant which was nice for an evening if you didn’t want to venture out.
If you wanted to walk out to the waterfront it takes approx 5/10
Minute walk which is great if you wanted some drinking and lunch without going far, it is very touristy but worth a visit.
I would recommend you use the complimentary chauffeur service (one way) pre book 24 hours before and get dropped off at table mountain, only worth going up if it’s a clean day so no clouds at the top otherwise you won’t see anything.
Also we booked to use it that evening to take you to camps bay, I would recommend you book a table at Paranga it’s the best restaurant in camps bay, book around 1 hour before sunset so you can take in the views over cocktails/wine.

This was our second time at the Cape Grace and it was juts as good as the first, four years ago. The staff really cant do enough for you, they are always so helpful and smiley. The rooms we have stayed in both times are really spacious wit great views of table Mountain. Try the Tapas in the downstairs hotel bar - it really is superb.
