Had to write a review following reading the negative review below.

We stayed for 9 night family holiday to explore Cape Town. The attraction to this hotel was the room facilities and size and the nearness to the V&A waterfront.

What we wanted is what we got.

We booked through travelbag and contacted the hotel re transfer from airport to the hotel they were very accommodating and gave us a price of 650zar more reasonable than the £89 of travel bag and very quick correspondence with clear instructions of were to meet and sign. Thank you Byron the transfer was informative and pleasant in clean large vehicle.

Our return to airport we decided on a local taxi as cheaper and friendly service and who had been reliable throughout our stay. 250zar

Check in was friendly informative and quick. you have to provide credit card and they put on 3000 zar which was refunded on checkout if not used.

We were taken to our suite which was massive , clean and beautiful cleaned on daily basis we had no complaints and no thefts at all. The porters friendly and keen in there work.

all the staff were friendly helpful and keen to help. Our son particularly took a shine to one guy in particular.

The walk to the waterfront was 5 mins for us and this included our 8 year old son yes we are fast walkers but think 10 min is reasonable if you take a slower pace .If walking is not for you The taxi ride which are found outside the hotel is 50 zar and takes 5 min if that. at the waterfront there is the hop on off buses that take you to all areas of Cape Town if you want private taxis who are reasonable they will take you anywhere you want at 1400 zar for 5 hrs was our experience .

We walked to sea point moiullepoint and the waterfront.

If you do your homework or look at Q&A on trip advisor you will be aware that the highest level of water restriction are in place 6b so pools are not seen as a necessity some taps in places ,not the hotel are none functioning and most places advise hand sanitizers instead with others advising flushes for number 2 s only when you visit a country with this in place you have to respect it.

We couldn’t find fault with anything and would return without a second glance at anywhere else.

We didn’t use restaurant there are places to eat nearby or local woolies which we gotta few bits for quick breakfast or dinner. We used these on first night as it is advisable not to walk at dark .

Thank you for a wonderful stay hope to see you soon

We unfortunately booked this hotel for the last few nights of our honeymoon in Cape Town. We expected it to be the same level of fantastic service we had experienced in other areas of SA but unfortunately this wasn’t the case.

The pool wasn’t available - which we weren’t told until we wanted to use it. We were offered to use a pool in a villa but it was dirty (very cloudy) and no service was available.

The free transfers to the V&A are only every 2 hours, which is a shame as it is a 15/20 minute walk.

I’m sure this is ok for a business stay but not for a honeymoon - service isn’t good enough (eg no turn down service) and the location isn’t close enough to any visitor areas. We stayed one night and then moved.

Definitely not 5 star.

I had an Amazing three-day stay in a two bedroom apartment at the Cape Royale! After traveling 32 hours, I was so ready to shower and dive into a bed. So, I was so glad that the check-in was seamless! The next morning, I had a wonderful 90 minute massage on the property.

There can be more staff in the restaurant during breakfast as I had to wait to get the attention of only 2 people who were back and forth. Breakfast was nice.

The rooms were large and extremely attractive as well as comfortable. The bedrooms were so far apart which offered you privacy.

The house keeping staff was better than amazing!!!!! I called for some kitchen supplies and they came quickly and offered assistance.

I can not wait to return!!!

The hotel was everything we needed for our stay. The appartment was perfect and included a washing machine which came in very useful. Room came with slipers and dressing gowns which were very much appreciated after a long day of sight seeing. Gentleman on the door who’s name I have forgotten was super friendly and always there to help out. Nothing was to big or to small of a request. Brilliant stay overall!!

I would most definitely stay here again. It was located close enough to all the trappings of a world-wind tour. Shops, food, locals, the waterfront (although a little to touristy for me) was still beautiful and with great panoramic views.
