You feel like an old friend when you spend a few days with Beach and Jennifer. Their sunny, eclectic house on the top of the hill overlooking Camps Bay is large and airy and full of family photos. As Beach says when you arrive - “welcome to the 70s” and the music from that decade was the soundtrack of our week-long stay.

The hero of the guesthouse is the view and there is no better way to start the day than by eating breakfast overlooking the bay. There were lots of different options on the menu and everything was delicious. There’s an honesty bar for sundowners and the staff is delightful. Our suite was spacious with windows on all 4 sides and its own large terrace but the blackout curtains worked a treat. The bed was large and comfy and there were loads of pillows.

But what makes this place so special is the owners. Beach’s sunny American attitude to life is a joy and Jennifer couldn’t have been more helpful from arranging an emergency doctor’s appointment to restaurant recommendations and reservations. We are delighted to have found a home from home in Camps Bay for the next time we visit.

We stayed at Boutique @10 for three nights and it was absolutely amazing.
Beach and Jennifer are great hosts who make you feel welcome and at home from the moment you enter the house. All rooms are perfectly clean with amazing views overlooking Camps Bay and the cosy and beautiful outdoor area invites you to just relax and enjoy this hidden gem.
They also do an amazing breakfast and we very much enjoyed the famous "Beach Omelette" every morning.
Every minute of our stay was perfect and we would have loved to stay for longer. We also felt very safe with regard to the Corona virus since all regulations were followed and there was enough space for social distancing.
We will definitely be back as soon as possible!
Thanks to Beach and Jennifer who made our honeymoon very special!

We booked in for a short getaway during lockdown as beaches were closed. We booked the Ocean Suite and we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious and clean with amazing views of Camps Bay and the ocean. The bathroom was extremely comfortable with a large spa bath and a walk-in shower. The room had a semi-private deck with great views of the magnificent sunsets over the sea.

Beaches were closed so we spent our days lazing at the pool after our sumptuous breakfasts served outside on the beautiful terrace.

Beach and Jennifer were great hosts and were eager to make sure we had access to everything we required. Their staff, Cisco and Nelson were friendly and attentive.

Overall we had a wonderful break and would highly recommend Boutique @ 10 to visitors wanting a secluded place to stay in Camps Bay.

Perfectly situated above Camps Bay lies this wonderful little retreat which offers 4 individually styled spacious rooms. If that wasn't enough, Jen & Beach, hosts to this little gem, make the location so special that it only compares to very few other little B&Bs we've visited before. Jen & Beach put much effort in personally caring for their guests which in the end makes the difference between a really enjoyable stay and an unforgettable unique experience.
It started right from the beginning even before we got to South Africa, as travelling in these times of Covid might hold some unexpected challanges and we were offered any assistance we could think of. Once we got there we instantly felt like at home after we had a warm welcome. The 6 nights we spent there over Christmas flew by only way too fast as one simply doesn't want to leave.
That is probably because the day starts with a breakfast on the terrace with incredible views over Camps Bay's beach and the atlantic ocean which the Chef himself prepares beyond your wishes while chatting and sharing stories will already let you forget time. And the day ends with magnificent sunsets enjoyed on a lounger with a good bottle of South Africa's many fabulous wines.
We definetly plan to return rather sooner than later - if only South Africa wasn't that far away...

Room tip: Do not plan to leave too soon!

We left the retreat of Jen and Beach’s humble abode after a 3 night stay from 24th-26th Dec and if it hadn’t been for the saving grace of arriving at a luxury safari lodge to satisfy our obsession of seeing wild animals I am certain there would have been tears! This power couple were absolutely born to be the best hosts! Upon arrival it felt from the get go that we’d known these people for years... it was like staying at an old friends place! As soon as you walk through the entrance it feels homely since you’re surrounded by photos and memorabilia of their life and travels together that instantly make you feel safe and familiar, yet intrigued. Because boy, what a life these 2 have had. They really have a story to tell that from tragedy, they were able to dig deep and still win in life. It is clear that these 2 are perfect for one another and we really enjoyed hearing about their past and how they set up and developed this beautiful guest house.

And what a place they’ve managed to create! The views are spectacular and an absolute joy to look at whilst tucking into the amazing breakfasts each morning served by Jen and Beach as well as Sisqo, who is also an absolute legend! Cereal, granola and homemade fruit compotes, meats, cheeses and cooked eggs however you want them... with strong coffee! Could not have wanted more to set up our days exploring beautiful Cape Town! Loved that the radio was on every morning, again made me feel like I was straight at home! The grounds are stunning and the decor quirky, unique with a blended modern-retro feel! The rooms are cool, big and spacious, bright and airy with comfortable super king beds, air con, cable TV, fridge with wine, beers etc and a Nespresso coffee machine. They have a Cali Malibu style feel to them. Our room opened up straight onto the pool area and we had our own sun loungers!

Since we stayed for 3 nights over Christmas, we woke up to a breakfast table with Christmas crackers and a gift wrapped calendar Jen had made with her own photos of the views of Camps Bay! Such a nice touch. They gave us fab tips on where to go, places to eat etc. It was great being in their company!
Thanks to you both and Sisqo for making our Christmas. We will definitely be back and will be recommending your fabulous place to all our friends!
