The Hadida Guesthouse is a rural property accessed via a potholed track better navigated with a 4-wheel drive. The four of us stayed in adjacent queen rooms with a shared verandah (not balcony). The rooms were clean but rather quirky with both toilet and shower in the main room, separated by a screen. In hindsight, the cottage would have been a better option for us. The region is subject to rolling power cuts and we were without power for several evening hours. A hearty country breakfast was a great start to our onward journey.

Room tip: Take the cottage rather than a queen room.

The hosts were sincere, friendly, hospitable and ready to help. We could relax in the picturesque and well maintained garden. The dam with its ornamental fountain creates a tranquil atmosphere. The bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. After a tasty and filling breakfast we were ready to take on the highway to the south again.
