Just beautiful, lodges are excellent, comfortable and large. Animals on site are fab, restaurant very good value, great food and service. Can’t fault it, would love to go back.

Enough to do, Golf, crazy golf, table tennis, pool table, giant chess a little park and ground level trampolines, 2 lovely pools.

Maybe a little shop on site would be helpful and irons in rooms but that’s it.

Our one bedroom (2+2) lodge was perfect for us as a couple but would have been cramped for a family. The thatched semi-detached lodge was beautifully furnished with king sized bed, en-suite with seperate shower and bath and open plan kitchen/diner/lounge with patio doors leading on to the veranda with enclosed private braai area (though no dishwasher). The lodges are situated around a nine hole golf course with impalas and monkeys roaming free. An electric fence keeps the hippos in their pool area where a hide enables cooler viewing.

The restaurant (G's) offers good quality reasonably priced meals with eating areas both inside and out. Meals can go on your bill as can wifi for your lodge (750 Rand per 500MB). Do pack a torch as lighting is poor when walking to the restaurant. The laundry offers reasonable service washes or self service. There is no shop on site but with two shopping malls just a kilometre up the road, this is not a problem. Perry's Bridge with a range of eating spots and crafty shops is another kilometre further on.

Kruger Park Lodge is just 15km from the Phabeni Gate into the Kruger National Park though your sat nav may not even recognise this as a valid route into the park. It's worth going on an escorted game drive as the guides know where to look, what to look for and have contact through phone, private facebook groups, radio etc to inform each other on sightings. Allow plenty of time for the Blyde River Canyon Panorama route as the roads to Graskop and Sabie are full of wide and deep potholes but the views are stunning though there are seperate charges for each viewpoint.
Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre (as seen on Paul O'Grady's TV series) and Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre are both just 90 minutes north and well worth a trip out. Chimp Eden and the Lowveld Botanical Gardens near Nelspruit proved to be a good day out.

Room Tip: Some units are a long walk from the restaurant or nearest pool so worth checking out the resort plan.

Just spent one week at Kruger Park Lodge. Wonderful experience. Three bedroom chalet in lovely quiet area not far from Hippo hide. Staff very helpful and accommodating. We were well looked after at the in house restaurant ‘G’s’ with options for our daughter who is cealiac. Our tours to Kruger National Park, surrounding areas and Swaziland were organised and well planned, all on time and excellent guides, highly recommend Kruger Park Lodge
