We have just gotten married on the 4th of November 2018, and my husband booked this place for our Honeymoon...The place is so exquisite, what a beautiful place to spend our most precious days together, the rooms, are very clean, the staff are very friendly and atmosphere is so romantic, very nice and quiet...We will definitely visit this place again, there is so much to do, paddle boat, mini golf, fly fishing, nice swimming pool, nice place for bird watcher's, we really fell in love with this place, we have got to bring the kids on our next visit

Castleburn is a great destination for families with lots to do together. It’s well run for a resort of this type & was well equipped apart from the lack of a decent egg beater as the whisk provided was inadequate to make fluffy omelettes as I’d planned. A wooden spoon would also have been useful. The jacuzzi in the luxury chalet we stayed in was a plus except that we were never informed that we could turn it off on the DB Board so a tremendous amount of electricity was wasted until I called reception & enquired when the water had totally over-heated. The fireplace & heating in the bedrooms was appreciated at night while the thatched roof during the heat of the day kept the chalet perfectly cool provided that windows & doors were kept closed as well as sun-facing curtains. All in all, we had a wonderful long weekend stay as a family. Although our chalet was beautifully clean, a small point is that your executive housekeeper needs to train the housekeeper we had on the correct placement of furniture & that the ice trays should be checked & freshly filled after each guests departure. I was most impressed that maintenance arrived swiftly to replace the water in the jacuzzi on a Sunday although my request was made after their off-duty period. Please pass on our compliments to your teams at the gate, reception, maintenance & housekeeping who are a real credit to Castleburn.

Its amazing outdoor with the random baboons that stroll by. It was a well needed break. The resort staff are very friendly and professional. The amenities levies for the resort activities is very very low for such an amazing experience on the water canoes and paddles boats. You also get amazing views when you go up hiking.

Room tip: A baby crib would be a nice addition for families who have a little one.

The tranquility of the place is wonderfull seeing that it is actualy a large resort. The views and walks along the river and around the dam are accessible to most people. Fishing is good and having a kiddies dam is a great idea.

My husband and I spent a weekend at Castleburn, Friday to Monday. We could not have asked for better weather which made it ideal for doing the lovely walks as well as the paddling, canoeing on the lake. We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath unit although it was just the 2 of us. The accommodation was great and comfortable with a pleasing outlook. We did make use of the bar/restaurant menu but just for a light lunch. We will definitely go back to Castleburn in the future.
