The lodge is located in a beautiful area, already the road towards the lodge there are lots of giraffes, warthogs, impalas and other animals. The place is just renovated and it looks stunning. The staff is very kind and extremely helpful.
We did one game drive with Walter and that man truly has a passion for nature and the animals. He knows animaltracks from earlier in the morning or day and from there finds the animals. Sadly we couldn't find the cheetah, but Walter spotted a leopard in a tree (noone else managed to see it even when he told us where to look). He drove us very close and it was a beautiful sighting. He was very happy after and even singing! If you want to spot animals, this is the place to go. It is a huge area and the animals are really free and everywhere.
The rooms of the lodge are fine, everything is present, clean and has just been renovated. There is swimming pool, but the water is a bit cold this time of year. We absolutely loved the photo on the wall above our bed.
The food is extremely good, the breakfast you can choose what you want aside from a continental breakfast. The dinner is a 3 course meal, choice from 2 starters, buffet as a main course, and choice of 2 desserts.
We had some misunderstandings with our booking agent and Judy helped us out with everything. She is very kind and give us some nice tips for on the road towards our next stay.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, we loved it here. The game drives are really great!
