The hotel was exactly what I saw on the website before booking, it was clean and beautiful. The staff was very friendly from the doorstep to the reception and the cleaners. The breakfast was also delicious

A friend and I stayed here for a quick getaway as I’ve stayed here before and was happy. I’ve been hugely disappointed this time. There are piles of rubbish outside the hotel on the pavements and the beaches are disgusting with litter all over. The hotel offers inside parking but when we asked for it, we were told to pay an extra R195 for 3 nights. Ridiculous that it’s not specified as an extra cost. We were also told to pay it immediately, no exception which irritated me. I’m trusted not to steal the TV or microwave from the room, but not to settle a R200 bill when leaving and returning the key cards. It’s massively insulting. The only shining light from this establishment is the concierge, super friendly and accommodating. My friend doesn’t like riding in the elevators alone and he accompanied her each time. What a gem!

We loved this hotel, our little gem ~its always been good value for money and the best location. So after a long lock down this was our getaway place of choice. But it hasn't aged gracefully. The decor and furnishings need a setiuos make over. The buttons in the lift dont all light up so you dont knkw if its working. In our room we had problems with the door constantly jamming & the key card having to be reset. The safes buttons were problematic. The cupboard hinges were worn and the damaged in both rooms we booked, our toilet seat was broken, and our phone didnt work so we couldn't contact reception or our other room and despite having reported these on the first day some things were only attended to two days later. We love this place but unless it gets a makeover and some maintenance ~ its going to deteriorate into one of those terrible hotels

The location is great uninterrupted sea view and a view of the Durban Promenade. It has a fridge, microwave and kettle which is convenient. The shower infact the bathroom is too small, but you will manage. The Tv channels are rubbish just rubbish they don't play well at all and tv or sound rubbish infact i didn't even watch tv i used my dstv app on my phone. The noise made by the neighbours was just unacceptable at 2am, and this seems to be a very ugly growing trend especially in the hotels on the Durban beachfront.
All in all i might go back maybe during the week maybe then it will be quieter.

The hotel is on the beachfront without you having the hustle and bustle. Upon arrival, we had a lot of open parking as that was one of our worries. Reception was extremely busy but they helped us very fast. We had a lovely room with a great view. Toiletries was exceptional and was replenished daily. We were 3 people and was nice to have a separate room for my mother but stay in the same unit. The fridge can be cleaned more often as we could not make our own ice and reception wanted to charge us R 40 for a bucket. After I complained, they gave us the ice. Unfortunately, other guests was very noisy, even late at night. They came out of their rooms, shouting at their friends far away in another room. The same ladies did that at breakfast and it was very noisy. Breakfast was lovely with a wide variety of food. Wi-fi was good. Would recommend this establishment.

Room tip: Level 10 have great sea-views
