We recently attended a beautifully arranged wedding and enjoyed an exquisite setting and function. Helpful and friendly staff. Access road needs attention. Decor matches the bush setting. Good value for money.

Such an amazing Bush venue with friendly staff and great food! Our room was decorated so nicely with petals all over and a nice cold bubbly waiting for our us! We always felt so welcomed and the beautiful venue with its peacefulness at night time is a great place for families or even if you're just a couple wanting to spend QT with your loved one with no interruptions! Def going back for more ❤️

As a team we needed a breakaway from the city, with tranquility and beauty with the most delicious carrot cake, compliments from the chef! Beautiful setting for a weekend with a pool and game drive with helpful staff and good food. The cellar dinner was perfect for private dinning with the team. I would definately go back with my friends and family.

Room Tip: Select a room that overlooks the lake

We recently visited Intundla Game Lodge as a group of friends. Being just a little bit nervous (what you see on the internet is not always what you get) - but we were oh so pleasantly surprised.
We were delighted to find that they had booked all of our rooms to be water-facing (highly recommended!) without us having known to ask. A further delightful surprise was when at the end of the winter evening staff had switched on the heaters in the room which turned it into a nice cosy sleeping spot.
Bedding there is aplenty, including some hot water bottles if you need a little extra warmth.
The meals (being buffet, again we were just a little nervous) were to DIE for! Absolutely delicious, scrumptious and generous meals were served at both breakfast and supper. You cannot possibly leave their restaurant feeling dissatisfied!
(Winter) dinner included a soup for starters, along with a full hot meal and a hot dessert with custard. You might as well forget about any dieting plans if you visit here... Trust me! Breakfasts had a full range of cereals, fruits, standard hot breakfast along with an extra choice of either waffles or flapjacks, served with fresh cream, honey and syrups.
The bar area offers a beautiful deck and a view over the water. Perfect for a sundowner.
And the spa!! Again... potential for things to get a bit shady in the spa department. All 6 of us were again, most pleasantly surprised. The girls have been properly trained, not just handed a tub of cream and artlessly pummel you to death. Between us, we had everything from a head massage, Thai foot massage, full body massage, and we were all very pleased with the treatments.
Everything about our weekend breakaway was simply delightful.
We had the pleasure of meeting our hosts, who on the second evening made a point of wishing us all a very good night - personally. At best, I can describe the experience as visiting your favourite family members, with such warmth and genuine hospitality being evident in ALL of the staff on the property.
NB! There is a slightly uncomfortable dirt road for the 3km before you arrive, so if you have a choice between a big car and a little one, bigger would be better :)

At 1.5 hours from Joburg... we will most certainly visit again!

Room Tip: Ask for a water facing room

We stayed over at Inthundla for a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a beautiful spot with a lake and hills around it. There is enough space to accommodate guests for a mid-size wedding. The chalets are fairly basic but very well looked after and nicely decorated. You can walk everywhere on the lodge but you have enough distance from the dining area and bar to not be disturbed in your room. The resident wedding planner, Teneale, is unbelievably good; always friendly and never stressed. We had drinks in the bar on the lake beforehand which is a awesome little pub. The wedding took place outside in the boma with a big fire in the middle and fairly lights all around. The food was exceptional. So much better than your average wedding fare. What a lovely place.
