Brayka Bay feels to me like my second home. I know a number of hotels in Egipt (Hurghada, Sharm el Sheikh, Dahab, Marsa Alam) - I have been visiting Egipt for a number of years now, this is my favourite one. And there are lots of people like me - who have been returning to Brayka every year - for many years. I travel to the Red Sea in the first place for the sea itself, to swim, to enjoy the reef. At Brayka Bay I love the bay and the reef there - it's diverse, lively, with different formations to the south and to the north. It's often windy in Marsa Alam - the location of Brayka Bay allows to enjoy the sea even on windy days, when sea entry in other hotels is closed. Another reef - in Aurora Bay - is just a walk from Brayka Bay, if you want to see other reefs. The hotel is very comfortable, rooms are large, clean, well taken care of, air conditioning works well and silently. The garden, flowers, birds in the hotel are amazing - this is something absolutely outstanding! The food is diverse (I liked in particular Arabic / Egiptian days and grilled food) , fresh, catering to all tastes. Fast, competent, very friendly staff - many thanks to Hani and Karim from Zest restaurant! There is a good spa centre (I sometimes go there for massages) and a legendary guide / tour leader / National Geographic author - Diaa Shawki - who can take you to the desert, share his immense knowledge of the area, the desert, stars, Egipt (desk in the main hall). What makes Brayka feel like home to us are people - very helpful, friendly, empathetic, both in good and in bad times (during one of my stays I got cold on the flight - I was taken care of very well in Brayka). Particular compliments to Mr Ragab El Zainy for all his help and kindness!
