We stayed here recently for a week. All in all it was a very good resort and we would be happy to return. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the resort itself is well kept, with lots of sun loungers on the beach and two large swimming pools plus a smaller pool bar. When we were there, the majority of guests were German, with many of the rest coming from the UK, France or the Netherlands – it certainly had a western European vibe. Food in the main buffet restaurant was generally good and there was always a wide selection. We also ate at the Zaytoun restaurant in the sister hotel next door (the Alaya) which was fine though not spectacular but it was a change of scenery and also nice to be served to the table (included with All Inclusive).
There were only two negatives during our stay. The first, minor, one was that our room looked a bit tired and could have done with updating. It had limited plug sockets and no USBs which more modern hotels have. The second was much more annoying and that was the really poor internet service. Anywhere away from the main building, including in our room, or on the beach, or round the pool, you were lucky to get – and stay – connected. We were promised that this should improve when the hotel changed its internet provider contract within the next six months so hopefully that is the case!
