We caught an Uber from Downtown Fairbanks to Santa Claus House, North Pole, it cost $35 and took about 20 minutes. On being dropped off we went inside and had a look around. Great if you want Christmas decorations, memorabilia or to send a person a letter from Sara Claus place at the North Pole. They also have a cafe where you can buy some food and drink. We looked around for about 20 minutes, looked at the reindeer next door then caught an Uber back to Fairbanks. It is well laid out and a variety of things to buy if that is what you are after.

How on this Good Earth can one be in North Pole, Alaska, and NOT visit the Santa Claus House? For some 20-years (dating back to 1998) I have been in and out and passing through North Pole, Alaska. And until this visit, I had NEVER EVER been to the Santa Claus House.

It was FUN. It is a Do-Not-Miss attraction IF you are in North Pole and have the time to visit.

It is ABSOLUTELY ENORMOUS. I mean it is HUGE. I had no idea it would be so large. I think that fairly recently they added 7,200 Square Feet to the Santa Claus House and this is certainly a large addition.

Is it touristy? Sure it is! So what? Have fun and enjoy yourself. You may only visit once in this lifetime. I know for sure I am happy I visited.

Yes...it’s touristy. But it’s still a blast to get a picture with Santa and score some holiday swag in June.

You have to be ready for a full out blast of Christmas here. It is a great tourist stop filled with Alaskana, Christmas decor, toys and other goodies. If you enjoy a touch of Christmas magic in your vacation, stop by.

I will add, check the prices. Some items are very reasonable, with a number of adorable decorations under $15. We saw one cute throw pillow that was $30. Another throw pillow was $180. Yup. $180. Seriously, shop smart.

Quaint little place- has reindeer for the young and young at heart. Store has some very nicely displayed sweets and such. Lots of “I just have to have this for no reason” type of items. Some local things in there as well. Keep in mind that you do have to pay tax on the items you buy.
