Do yourself a favor and just book this hotel. It is gorgeous! It is on a large property that is exquisitely maintained. The vegetation is so lush and beautiful. You have your own little bungalow with a lovely patio/terrace.
I happened upon this hotel by booking through a tour company who arranged this stay for me. After reading some of the other reviews, I must admit I was a bit nervous. Reading about the lack of WiFi/phone service and limited amenities gave me pause. However, as of May 2021- I had plenty of WiFi in my room at the far edge of the property. I obviously only stayed in one room so I cannot speak to the connectivity for the rest- but the WiFi was plenty strong enough for me to FaceTime my family and do everything I needed.
If the beauty of the property isn't enough, the hosts are phenomenal. This is a family run business- so you can feel good about supporting a small business. During my stay, Adriana and Vanessa (sisters) were there to take care of me. They were so gracious and hospitable. Upon checking in, Adriana pointed out the tree where the Tucan lives and gave me her whatsapp number and said to buzz if I needed anything. These are the kind of hosts that will go around and turn the outside light on to your bungalow so you don't come home in the dark. Women who recognize if you're not a morning person and offer to make you breakfast later. They were lovely. Yes, it is a 12-15 minute walk into town however the walk is flat and easy. One night I took a taxi back and the price was $1.50. Seriously, book this hotel- you won't regret it.
