For ten years Cotton's on Anting Lu has provided a charming venue for friendly gatherings. The Owner, Cotton Ding, knows how to work the clientele & make everyone feel most welcome. Drinks are excellent, the food is more than acceptable.

Recommended.

Cotton's is wonderful on weekends about brunch time for some live music. And is perfect on summer afternoons for the outdoor seating in the precious courtyard. But Cotton's is my favorite place on winter days when everything is wet and cold because it is one of the only places in Shanghai where I have found real wood-burning fireplaces. Curl up next to one of their fireplaces with a friend and some delicious (and affordable) comfort food, and Cotton's might just be utopia.

Enjoyable and cozy garden. Decent bar and atmospere, fireplace, nice drinks, polite and quick service. Good and peaceful location in a nice and somehow quiet area.

After hours business meeting and was told to meet at Cotton's just a few minutes walk from Hengshan Metro Station at the corner of Anting Rd and West Jianguo Rd. Basically an old house turned into bar.

Entered the courtyard , smelling a wood fire into soft candle light and music playing in the background (reggae) the wood fire smell was from the fireplace keeping the chill out (it's winter !)

Ordered a snack while waiting , simple Chicken Quesadilla. Exactly what I hoped for. The menu is what I would expect in any "roadhouse" in Canada.

Definitely a place to come back to again.

Cottons enjoys custom from a diverse clientele, westerners in particular.
Menu choice is good, reasonable prices. Courtyard dining as well as indoors.
Worth a visit.
