Price range: US$1 - US$13
Description: Fully restored since July 2015, Mori Vegetarian Tea House and Residence is a boutique guesthouse combined with tea house hidden on a quiet street of the UNESCO World Heritage City of Malacca, namely Jalan Kampung Kuli. "Mori" refers to the woods in Japanese, also translated as forest. The dominant element in the boutique guesthouse and tea house is wood to match its modern and heritage design. The tea house on the ground floor is perfect for chilling over a cup of tea in a comfortable environment. Our guests are also entitled for a session of tea ceremony (during specific days and times only). The boutique guesthouse and tea house is only two-minute walk to Jonker Street (night market). It is located in close proximity to the major tourist attractions and famous eateries in Malacca, making it an ideal place for your family and friends to fully experience what the heritage city has to offer. Recommended to try Black Vinegar and Ginger Vegetarian Pork and others.

If you are looking for Indian flavours here, you'll be disappointed. But if you are happy to find just some veg kitchen, then this is a good find near Jonket street.

The place is well done-up, you leave your footwear outside. The staff is very soft and polite. They help you choose your dishes.

The food was exotic to us Indians and not so satiating afterall. We also ended up paying a good sum here... We didn't return to the place.

That doesn't mean there was an issue at their end. For their service and decor, full marks!

We have dinner there, food is delicious and nice atmosphere. Mid range pricing, we ordered for the smallest servings but still too big for two of us.
Special and recommend to try:
Dish: Fried lotus
Drinks : 'glutinous taste ' pu er Tea (refillable for hot water).

The service and ambience are just as good as their food, just extraordinary. We got about 10 different dishes for a party of 4 and it was under US$10 a head, couldn't believe how affordable the prices were for such a quality dinner. A must if you are in Melaka, don't miss it.
